Last night the tracking on my parcel said 'delivered'. Well it hadn't been so I sent off a furious email. This morning I was barred from accessing the tracking. It was delivered about 10 to 10 am this morning - the postman nearly threw it at me. I've done the test and it says I don't have COVID. It's still fairly awful and I don't want to pass it on to anyone else (but I can have Mrs Builder come this week).
I've put nice clean clothes on and tackled a few whiskers (my hair will have to wait a bit longer). Still tired and wobbly but will see what I can do
Grateful for not having COVID, good books, feeling a bit brighter.8 -
Hugs, beanie. Hope you find some stability and time to rest. You too, grandmanerd. The base of the shower can wait for Mrs Builder. My neighbour has dropped off the sleepers he doesn't need for his garden renovation for a bargain of a price. It saved him having to return them or think of what to do with them! They’re piled on the grass, covered by a tarpaulin and waiting for me to carry out my cunning plan. It is so cunning that I have yet to verbalise it...But first, I need to pick the apples. Then process the apples. Then prune the apple tree quite severely. Then plan out in detail what I'm going to do with the sleepers. And make sure I have enough sleepers for what I want to do! Then order some shingle. Then dig trenches for the sleepers. Then put a layer of shingle in the bottom. Then put the sleepers in. Probably need to attach the sleepers to one another... And so on, and so on...But first, breakfast for Pip, lunch for me, then bloods and an ECG for Pip...But first of the firsts, another coffee!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Top two floors cleaned, hoovered, and aired. Made DS2 do the hoovering of his brothers' rooms. Then he tidied his own room much better than he usually does.
Washing machine and dryer going like the clappers.
Going to clean and clear the living room and hallway and then reward myself with a cup of tea.
Completed my bank account switch - £180 in the future.
Half the living room sofa is piled with m-i-l 's parcels delivered here to save her on international postage. 15 days left til they arrive here. F-i-l is going to have a fit when he sees how much she has bought. Only another 3 weeks before they and they parcels leave my house.
Went to a work meeting last night. Unpaid, cost me £30 to get there and back. Hopefully it will result in more work.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Staying on NSD 2/15.
I bought five items separately today to qualify for the TSB bank switch bonus: a train ticket, a jar of pesto, an onion, and two bananas (each put through on their own).
I was in the office today, so lunch was a pre-cooked baked potato and cheese, plus a wee chocolate biscuit to go with a cup of tea.
Feeling grateful today for a free massage at work (part of a staff wellbeing initiative), catching an earlier train home, getting a lift from Mum at the station which saved me a mile’s uphill walk with my laptop bag even heavier thanks to my 5 purchases, and managing to grab a cancelled slot for aqua aerobics.

Still NSD # 1 for meFood shopping today.Stripped the bed and washed the linen. Mostly dried outside, but I will finish it off on the airer.Well, quite a chilly day after yesterday's lovely weather - but at least the washing has mostly dried.Moved a few things around to freshen up the dining and sitting rooms at no cost.Did some gardening this afternoon - planted the garlic (24 large cloves planted in 2 tubs, the rest has gone in the garlic pot to use for cooking), also planted a trough of pansies to brighten up the area outside the back door. I used old compost freshened up with some organic fertiliser.Today's pickings - just some lettuce leaves for lunch.Dinner was pesto pasta with home made pesto from the freezer, the rest of the mushrooms from the fridge and a few frozen peas. Grated parmesan on top and it was yummy - and cheap.OH has lit the stove as it was chilly. I need to get the rest of the washing in, as the sun, such as it was, has gone now.5

Feeling very tired today. Did Norwegian then chopped & softened veg & tossed in pasta & pesto for today & tomorrow's dinners. Work had good points & bad points. Pupil said at lunchtime that they were happy, when I asked why, they said my name. 😀
Had a massage with cupping on both sides. It's freed up more movement in my tight shoulders, though my back looks like I have ladybird spots!!
Updated my expenses for the last week. Sorted out my float & finished off the last 2 baubles for tomorrow's fayre. Did the ironing.
Also heard that the sign won't be ready for collection at the end of next week, so DS3 pretended he had a party, so we could cancel our trip without raising DH's suspicions.
Grateful for free movement in my shoulders, arranging a get together in the holidays & my baubles looking good in their basketUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I can taste things. It's so wonderful. Everything tastes amazing - the shred of grated carrot, the bread, the interaction between the bread and the sauce. I can breathe (mostly). There's still a whisper of a rasp but no pain, no coughing jags. A morning to really appreciate being alive.
I've had a shower and washed my hair and that's it for now. I will rest now.
I tried to write my big order, including some tin stock ups at bargain prices. Got all the way to the end and the bank wanted to verify the transaction. My replacement phone was on the floor (I knew where it was but hadn't been able to pick it up for fear of falling on my head). I picked it up and of course it needs charging - that's it's default setting. So no big order. Did a smallish local order based around sandwich fillings, apples and bananas.
DS1 has offered to take me to GD2's Baptism and bring me back, reminded me that I haven't given him my new phone number (old one is back working) and invited me for 'C' dinner and to stay for a day or two depending on what days off he and darling d-i-l get off.
Grateful for basic functions, resting and good things happening.7 -
Thrifty, loving the idea of you and ds3 being in cahoots against dh!!! Hope the fair is successful.Grandmanerd - fabulous news about you feeling so so much better. Long may it last!My cunning plan for the sleepers is to do a bit towards it every single day until it is finished. I have a paper list with about 25 steps on it, though I'm pretty sure there'll be more than that in the end!I'm very proud of Pip as he applied to be an elf last night. I think he'd be perfect, but we'll have to wait and see.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7
