Autumn sunshine here today and I’ve enjoyed walking and looking at all the trees.A reduced chicken roast in a tin thing will be cooked for tea and left overs frozen.Grateful for sunshine, birdsong, DD and DGSs having at autumn break away.Grateful too for a few days of annual leave so no Sunday ironing of work clothes.7 -
Lbm alert. Today I was watching 600lb lives where are they now. I was so impressed by how people overcome struggles but realised that very few hit actual targets. It got me to thinking, I’m not perfect, I’m good enough for now. I do have room to improve and hope to do this incrementally. Not initially very mse but I’m going to book a colour analysis as changes in hair colour and skin tone leave me floundering over what to wear and/or buy. I’m feeling optimistic however that this should lead to few ill advised purchases or unworn items in the wardrobe. In the immortal words of Ian Drury, reasons to be cheerful.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Still on NSD 2!
Grateful today for a longer lie-in after a poor sleep last night, for clearing a mountain of washing, OH getting in about the vacuuming, for having OH’s parents over for lunch, and for the lot of them being at the football this afternoon and having the time to myself to read my book 🤣NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -
I have totally lost count of NSDs. But I have also managed to spend all my vouchers, so money has been spent, but I have also kept it as low as I could. I am not worried about going over budget yet! There is loads of food in the house, so I can just chill for a bit, except I am really low on soya milk. It was sold out the last 2 times I have been in to T0sc0s and the stuff I tried from Mr Aldee was absolutely awful.Tomorrow will be a spend on milk and nothing else day. Plan to go volunteering, and do some prep for DS1s birthday next week.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Thrifty - I've just noticed your signature
Knicker less!
Today I am grateful for a lie in, for reading some more of my book, for chopping down more apple tree and chopping back more ivy, for my 100% cocoa solids chocolate, for a quick and easy salmon satay for tea.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4 -
Thought it'd make you laugh @apple_muncher! 😂 Well done on the NSDs @beanielou.
I've had another good day & an NSD. Started a new book at breakfast time, then did the first coat of paint on the chimney breast wall. Went for a walk with DH, had leftovers for dinner, then a nap. Woke up & did another coat of paint, then did some knitting whilst watching the end of a film. After tea, I hung the mirror, etc back on the wall. I'm really pleased with the colour 😍
Grateful for my pretty wall, a walk in the drizzle, time to relax & readUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Overcoming obstacles.
There was a C-word movie on Channel 5 yesterday. The all day branded C-word movie channels are up and running.
I haven't even set the timer for the heating to come on yet!!!
When I am Supreme Leader of the F0xh0les Collective there will be no C - word films on tv until after the clocks go back. So there.
I am not wishing the last 11 weeks of the year away. That will just encourage me to put plans off. Oh, I'll deal with that after C-word!
No! That is what they want you to do.
This week I am going to make a list of things I want to get done before years end.

Here here @f0xh0les I don’t believe anything C word related should be out until after Halloween/all saints day. After that I’m happy to be completely C word crazy! It’s all too soon nowadays. Why does it all need to begin august/September time? There’s never any break from the consumerism.Anyway rant over. Nsd#6 completed. I’m usually much further along on nsds by now but I seem to have many late September/early October birthdays which have overwhelmed me this year. Most things have been to budget but not as many nsds as I would like.Today was the first very dark morning and I am absolutely dreading the clocks going back. I suffer very much with SAD and already I can feel my mental health slipping as the weather changes and nights draw in. Every year I google and try to adopt ‘embrace autumn’ tips but I still hate the coming of winter every year. Hey Ho.@Thrifty_Taylor it’s totally ok to cry and feel upset. Just reading your message made me want to cry. You have been through so much. No one would judge you if you felt sad after the year you have had. Sending hugs.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826

I was hoping for NSD # 6 here today. It was easy to avoid spending, I thought, as I have felt under the weather all day and actually went up for a nap this afternoon. However, I was woken up by the dog barking at the window cleaner, so had to pay him, and OH paid for the car to be cleaned, so it wasn't to beShopping day tomorrow, but a short list.Apart from cleaning up the kitchen, washing my hair, hanging up the dresses I ironed last evening and making a salad for dinner, I haven't done much today. I did make a quick chocolate sponge to use up leftover whipped cream - I shouldn't have done this, as our waistlines don't need cake! I hate waste, but there is no space in the freezer, so I should probably have just chucked it down the sink. Lesson learned. I must also tackle the never ending bottomless freezer again.Feeling a bit more human now, thank goodness. Hopefully back to normal tomorrow, as I have a lot to do!5
