Today I am grateful for a morning walk, for sending off Pip's NEET form, for an easy tea, for a good book, for robins.

No NSD today, as the car is in for its MOT and service. Spendy but necessary.
I have general house sorting stuff to do today - washing, things to put away, houseplants to water, also some of the garden pots want watering as it is so dry again. Nothing much needed in the way of cooking as I made a big chilli yesterday. I had found pork mince (which makes the best chilli, I think), reduced, and I already had all the other ingredients, including some bendy veg which needed using up.
I will be at work tomorrow and Friday, and need to get as much done as possible today, due to having been poorly and not done much for the past couple of days.
    Grateful that I feel better!

Oooh, we have an 'interesting' button!!!

Yes I noticed that too. Not sure of the distinction between that and the 'Thanks' button though....
  • Hopefully no nsd for me today as my car should be ready to be collected. The downside is the four figure repair bill.  Grateful for DD’s efforts at house sorting which inspired others, inc me. Also grateful for an end being in sight for the bathroom work.

Interesting has a plethora of meanings - something of interest, boring (sarcastic - interesting,NOT), ominous, all depending on how it is said and in what context. I'm guessing that it's for something noteworthy - not necessarily welcome but a useful bit to keep in mind for circumstances that might arise (how not to catch flu/ COVID, how to get it over with quickly if you do get it and sensible precautions to avoid spreading it to others and making life more difficult for those who are vulnerable).

Took both bins to the end of the back collection point yesterday evening. Today I've taken 7 books back to the library and carried on to take 3 bags to the cs. I was the only one wearing a mask but no one made fun of me - lots of sympathetic smiles. My ankles were throbbing so I came back slowly.

I'm ready for falling asleep already. The curry has been completed and the celery 'soup' had extra veg and a tomatoey based sauce. I'm going to stir in loads of pasta and have it hot and cold. I had intended to do more but it's taking such a long time and I thought better a couple of simple dishes than extra that never gets completed.

Grateful for libraries, benches in public spaces, getting outside for the first time in 5 weeks (I think).

Nsd#7 today. I have been feeling very anxious today but no idea why. A bit of imposter syndrome and not fitting in feelings creeping in. Probably just due to tiredness and hormones or something. Nothing has set it off, just came on.

Today was a bittersweet day. Some things went better - the phone company finally got our landline phone to work after two weeks and the doctor has arranged for me to get a new rollator walker (current one is over 30 years old and has no brakes). Roommate Di and I finally got our Covid shots - without getting covid first - like last year. But we also had to have our 15 year cat put to sleep - she was miserable. At least the vet told us it was the right time. We still have two boy cats (8 year old and 1 and a half year old). They have been looking for her since we came home. I guess I have too.
