Wrote a longish post this morning (about what to do when having a bad day). Thought there were 4 parts and had just finished part 8 and lost it. DS3 said something about a touch screen the other day - I keep losing things or bringing up menus just by resting part of a finger on the edge of the screen. Will try again tomorrow.
I worked my way through a moountain of bags (I keep moving them out of the way so it's easier to put my feet down in the middle of the night). I have 2 bags full of papers to sort, some to file, a lot with info to transfer to my new diary or my address book. I started with a half full bin bag and another smaller bag but found another small bag half way down and another half-full bin bag at the bottom. Freed 3 bags to take shopping but only found the one with my purse in after the library had closed.
Walked as far as B'n'M (halfway up the precinct). Filled the trolley with medical type stuff (small hand gels, eye drops, soft toothbrushes) and a few other things on my list. 5 cans of soup which price matched the SM offer, 2 rice puddings, 2 butter beans (44p). Browsed the food aisles and have 2 tubs of cheese spread (lots of tomatoes, onions and peppers in the fridge, plus sandwiches and a tub of salad yellow stickered at 50p (so no need to go to a second shop).
When I came out it had rained so I sat on a wet bench (all 3 bags were full and the 2 heaviest were on the seat of the walker) to consider my options as my ankle was quite painful. 3 short blocks to the taxi office versus 3 to the traffic lights and another 4 plus our streeet on the far side of the lights. Taxi driver was extremely helpful, loade all my bags and took them out at the other end and stood in the road holding the door when I climbed out, blocking a car that wanted to pass (we'd let 2 go by). I was out for over an hour so another goal ticked off.
Shouted for DS3 to get my bags indoors and hobbled to the couch. I've had a little nap and eaten some ys sandwiches. Have a couch cushion making a slope to rest my ankle (I can get to the bathroom and back so it should be okay once I've rested it overnight). I'm enjoying working my way through 'The Offer' (about the struggle to make the 'Godfather' film) but was on the third episode before I realised the studio Head was played by Burn Gorman (from Torchwood, last seen playing a vicious bounty hunter in, I think, Reacher).
Grateful for walking, ticking off lots of items on my list (and postponing the need for a big shop once more), fun drama serials.10

            A nearly NSD 😂
Had an hour to spare, before being picked up by s friend, so I sewed the storm flap on my new coat up & sewed a button on a skirt, which I'd lost, but found under my bed when we moved it round 😀
Headed to town with a friend from work, then met another ex-teacher friend. They took me out for lunch, insisted on treating me. Went over the Churchill Barriers & explored the village the ex-teacher grew up in. Popped in the 3 shops, but I only bought a small item towards sproutmas at the last one. The others bought in every shop. Visited the ex-teacher's mum, drove around the countryside, then headed back. We had a lovely time.
The customer collected his trousers, my brother phoned (I feel so irritable when he's smoking whilst talking to me, then today he was chomping on his tea at the same time! I should be grateful that he makes the effort to phone, I know...). Afterwards, I varnished over the mouldy patches. Tomorrow I should be able to paint 2 walls 🎉
Grateful for a lovely day, a lady from DVLA helping me to sort out DS1s things, delicious foodUse it up, wear it out

This week is flying by. I feel like it has gone so fast and I have made each task in my life by the skin of my teeth. I probably take on far too much. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have all been nsds taking me to #11. Hoping for another tomorrow.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #828

Today I am grateful for a dry and warm house, for an excellent GP visit with Pip, for Gibbs not dying in the episode of NCIS (of course he didn't, it was only series 12!!), for hearing from the Neet people, for Pip playing me some instrumental rock cmas music.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

A busy day today! After breakfast I painted the first coat of paint on 2 walls. Used up some veg starting to go wizened with pasta & pesto for dinner & read my book. Filled the car up & went to the dump with DH. We then went for a 2 mile walk & nipped into the Coop for TV mags (local paper hadn't been delivered yet) & treated us to some chocolate.
I did another coat of paint on our return, whilst DH did the dishes & cooked tea. Shortened 2 pairs of trousers, then a tiny bit of knitting. DS3 & GF carved pumpkins.
Grateful for 3 massive rainbows on our walk, getting things cleared out the sheds, another 2 walls done & quick processing for the start of DS1's estate paperworkUse it up, wear it out
