Well done on everything you've achieved so far Tallgirl, you really are an insperation, reading your diary was one of the reasons I started my own, sadly my mortgage still has a long way to go, unless I win the lottery i'm not going to make it by the time i'm 40..poo, might make it by the time hubby is 40 though..now theres a thought

Thanks Tescopoints addict love that forum name. You seem to be doing well and having a diary does motivate I think. It is lovely to know people are reading it but as it strays off mortgage payments so often I don't blame people for reading other more serious diaries instead.
Off to Somerset today for an overnighter. Doing some training there so the organizer is staying in the same hotel as me tonight so at least it is not dinner for 1 for a change. Have a lot of time to kill after my 12 o'clock appointment so might just have to go into Bristol to shop....
By the way MFi3 is coming up for its 2nd anniversary please PM me your updates if you are part of the challenge by 18th April but feel free to do it earlier.Save £12k in 25 No 49

So happy today as I have just booked our Easter Break. First night on the Wednesday will be paid for by work but we then have 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast and golf in Cornwall for £300 for 2. I think that is a great deal as we get 3 rounds of golf as well. So nice to have something booked to look forward too. Now I just need somewhere nice to stay.
Working mainly from home today so that is so nice.Done 600 miles in the last 2 days as I ended up going to Bristol twice but that is a long and boring story. I did get to Ikea and spent £12 on an Orchid, 2 plants (19p) each, a mat and a nice Gardenia (also a plant). Nice to have some green to cheer up the house.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Only two weeks to go and you're in Cornwall
I'm sure you'll find somewhere lovely to stay.
Well done on being so restrained in Ikea :T I find it hard not to buy almost everything whether i need it or not
How is the garden going?Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Yes I was quite proud not to spend loads in IKEA but I did want to get home before rush hour so did have an incentive.
Garden is fine, been a bit cold so think my seeds are still sleeping. My potato sack is too small for 5 potatoes so will have to get 3 out. Just been too cold and wet to get out there.
Got a quote from our friend for a new front door. It has taken him ages and it is £930 fully fitted plus he will fix the gate which has come off its hinges and the handle has broken. I am quite happy with that price and I know he will do a good job. He is off to do some carpentry on a cruiseliner in Canada but the door takes 4 weeks to get here anyway. It maybe mid Summer before he gets it done but as he does not want an upfront payment that is cool with me. Saves the offset going over £5k which would be scary.
No time to do Pilates this morning due to having to go to the dentist which cost me £86 for a clean and polish. Nice but had to be done not been for over 1 year.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Done quite a bit of matchbetting today signed up with Begatwin and got €50 free bet. Need to turn it over 4 times so €400 but that should not be too bad. Also done the Bet365 on the mobile. Bet 5 x £10 and get a free £25 which you can take out immediately. Even managed a winner of their 4/1 offer so have a free bet on the 5.30 race in Dubai.
Not done a lot today went shopping in Tesco more money of vouchers to be used. Also finished my Easter presents for the niece and nephew. She is now into Tellytubbies but they cant get them in Denmark. Found some Beanie ones in Tesco £5 each but had to get 1. Might have a look for some bigger and cheaper ones for her birthday in June.
DH is waiting to see England loose on the box and I need to find out how my team is going to do against the mighty Malta. Take care all hope you have had a nice day.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Good to hear you got such a good deal close to Easter. May just look around ourselves, but it'll have to be the Easter weekend as I think I bound for the USA again(!) soon after...0 -

Thanks I am quite pleased about it just booked for our first night paid for by my company - Cornwall seems to be booking up fast. People are scared of the high Euro I think. Laterooms is quite good for cheap rates but sometimes you do have to stay 2 nights if it is over a Bank Holiday. Also you get 5% cashback with Quidco which does help.
Been quite productive this weekend. Washed the windows and the window frames on all the windows and doors downstairs. Washes 2 sets of curtains, ironed and put them back up. Gave the kitchen a deepclean as well. My DH smokes so it nice to get it all done normally too lazy to do it but when the sun is out it does show.
Paddypower did not give me my 2 x £10 free bets so had to ask for them but I have got them now. Not completed Bagawin yet as there was no football Sunday. Won £10 free chips on Stan James that is the 3rd week in a row I have got it right hope DH can turn it into some money. Also got my £25 from the Bet365 mobile offer. That is 1 £10 free bet and £25 free money that phone has earned so far. Nice.
Woke up this morning to frost on the cars and in next doors bird bath. Wonder how my little seedlings are faring might have to redo them. Poor things if they have been zapped.
Off the the gym and then I must make some appointments as I have only got 1 this week which is not enough.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Nearly missed that. Were looking at Norwich with 3 for price of 2 nights with Marriott but the rooms have gone, still it would be about £350 all up (petrol, local meals etc) so perhaps just defer until next year when we should be MF and hence we can do these sort of breaks :j
Whilst I can understand avoiding the € zone, the UK is always an expensive option "door-to-door" compared with other places, that's why we opted for Mexico this year. With a single child we have to find locations where she can mix with others her age (gives us a break too!) so we're all-inclusive plus a 4day 3 night trip around the historic ruins of the Yucatan peninsula for less than half-board in Crete last year....0 -
Sounds like you got a good deal Stuart I would go for Mexico over Crete anytime if that is the kind of thing you are going to see. I agree petrol and local meals will add to a UK break. However I have a company car so is taxed on it heavily as I don't pay for private milage so I might as well use it. Our golf breaks in the UK are all full board or half board so there should not be that much extra to pay on top.Save £12k in 25 No 49
