Thanks SuiDreams I know what your mean. Specsavers did save the day they had some in stock and mine aren't due to get here until the 7th. Must remember that in future.
DH has changed his tyre and taken his own car back. Did not make Pilates but sorted flowers and card out for cleaner who told me it was her birthday today. On with some work me thinks.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Lovely to have the forums back been a bit boring without them. Not done a lot this weekend as I had to work yesterday. Left home at 8.30am and for back at 3pm but I do get a day off in Lieu which will be handy. Today we went to do a Mystery Shop but it was not open on a Sunday. Really should have checked did 2 on Friday in the same time and almost walked past the shop. Never mind. Done 3 now so that is £30. Have signed up for 1 more site see if they offer something else. Getting a bit more into it now.
Been to the gym just now, not many people there but great to have my programme to work to. Should really have played golf but not in the mood for it. Did get a lot of MB done and some gardening. Hope you have had a nice weekend too.Save £12k in 25 No 49

No weight loss this week too much wine I think again. Going to Bodybalance later so that should help.
Accounts all settled in Match Betting so asking for withdrawals etc. It is a bit of a pain as they want ID etc etc but you have to do it or you won't get your money. I still have a free bet in PaddyPower to do and 1 for the US Masters in Golf. Must remember to do that before we go to Cornwall. Also got Stan James £10 casino chip comp right again. It has been B the last 4 weeks which is why I went with it. Not going to do much now until after Easter, having a rest I think.
DH had Barclays business manager into see him at his office basically to flog him new stuff. He did not want any of it but the talk turned to personal banking. This person thinks that once we get below £10k on our offset mortgage Barclays will no longer view it as a mortgage and withdraw the offset facility. I have not heard any thing like that before and as we owe £4000 on the offset I cannot see that happening. She is going to check it out and get back to DH. I am not too concerned about but loosing access to £106,000 credit at .75% above base might it be worth hanging onto it. Maybe we could just fill up the savings pots in the offset and leave the mortgage. Really not sure any ideas?Save £12k in 25 No 49

Sorry this is going to be a bit of a depressing report from me. I am sitting here trying to tidy up work as I shall now be out of the office tomorrow and Thursday before my little golfing trip to Cornwall. I should be all happy and looking forward to it but sadly there is an announcement at work tomorrow which I think I know what is.
My job is in no danger what so ever it is just that the company is changing the way it does business and that affects me. If it is as bad as I think it is then I shall be unable to sell the service as I basically do not believe it to be any good. It is hard to explain but imagine you have a job as a gamekeeper and you suddenly had to turn poacher. It is something like that. Well I will know tomorrow but I am 99% certain I know that is it. If it is I shall have to look for a new job which means loosing about 10k a year (pre-tax) plus the company car. However I might get a job I really love doing but it is a step back. Well we shall see.
I am glad that we are in the financial position we are as although I do not have to leave my job I have the option. It gives me flexibility not to have to stick with something I do not believe in.
Well I think that is enough moaning from me, might not get to update before I am back Saturday so take care all and hope you have a lovely Easter.Save £12k in 25 No 49

As you note, all the hard work you've put in on the mortgage etc has "paid off" in giving you the option to look to move to a job you are comfortable to undertake even if it means a cut in salary.
Hope your time in Cornwall is fun and won't be overcast by the company announcement.0 -
fingers crossed that your wrong on this occasion
