So tired been in London all day running a conference. Saw 1 G20 protester but hear lots of sirens etc. We were around Holborn so quite central. 25 of the delegates did not turn up so guess they were scared.
MB is going well got 2 x £10 free bets on the Masters if I bet on the golf this week from Paddy Power so that was nice. Was going to have a bet on that anyway. Put one on Soren Kjeldsen at 201 as he won last week. I can't lay it for a profit yet but he is so steady I am sure his odds will come down and i can lay it. Not used the other bet yet as this is obviously not a risk free way of using your free bet.
Denmark beat Albania in the football 3rd game they have scored 3 goals so that is cool. Also nice that England are winning. Lets hope we both qualify for South Africa. Would be nice to see Scotland there too.
Right that's me done now off to bed.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Tallgirl, I have to ask you this question, as last week I went to a party (I know ucky me!!!) & one of the hoss comes from Denmark, well they made this fabulous rich rice pudding & they told me that that wrap it in blanket & quilts etc & bake in the bed.... is this true or were they pulling my leg!!!!!
I couldn't make up my mind if it was true or not......
Thanks

gingababe you are spot on that is how I make my ricepudding in the bed. It works basically like a slowcooker just keep the same temperature. Makes the rice nice and fluffy perfect for ris alamade which us Danes eats for Christmas.
The tradition with cooking it in the bed came from the olden days when firewood was expensive and people were poor. That is why they also used to eat ricepudding or any other type of grain based pudding before a meat dish to fill them up as it was cheaper that way.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Holiday fund is for golf trips although all are now paid for.
Having a rubbish morning thanks to DH and my own stupidity. I wear contact lenses and usually change them once a month. Threw the old ones away yesterday only to realize my new ones have not come in the post yet. I am shortsighted and need really strong glasses -6.75 so hate not having my contacts on.
Second thing that annoyed me is that DH drove to work only to come back 10min later to say he had a flat tyre. His dad is off sick so there is only him to open up so he assumed he could have my car. So now I cannot go to Pilates and he is going to come home to change the tyre and then I can take it to get fixed. Nice as it is not even my car. He did originally ask me to ask the neighour to change his tyre but at least now he is coming home to do it. The cheek of it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks car is all but sorted. DH changed the tyre and has taken the car back himself. I could not go to Pilates as it is in 30min but not sure I want to do it in glasses. Never tried that. Maybe I should call Specsavers and asked when I will get them.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Give them a call and see whats happening with ypur lenses, they may even have some in that you can have in the meantime while your waiting for yours to arrive. I'm a contact lens wearer as well (eye sight -8 and -8.5). I can't live without mine, I've worn my glasses a lot recently due to contact lens check ups (and running out of old lenses). Felt very selfconcious in glasses, plus don't find them very practical0
