Afternoon TG - glad to hear the Ebay stuff is going well. The dolls and things were obviously a good find for you :T

The pictures of the wet room look fantastic - Mike certainly seems to be very thorough and caring about his work.

Fantastic update on the MB front :j well done you, and it such a short space of time too. I didn't bother with the Skybet today, but signed up to Centrebet yesterday so waiting on the results of today's footie to see if I have a WR to get through. Unfotunately Betfair seems to be suffering from technical hitches at the moment as I can't access my account to see my latest balance. Fortunately someone else is having issues as well so at least I know it's not just my account

I do sympathise with you and your readers regarding trying to eat healthier and lose weight. I am the heaviest I've ever been and should be trying to do something about it but lack motivation at the moment. Must try harder.

Have a good week with HQ

Lovely to hear from you Dingling glad you are still MB. I did not do very well out of the Sky offer will stear clear in the future.

Off to Head Quarters today, really don't want to go but have to. 3 nights away oh joy but at least the whole team will be there which will be nice.

Ebay all packed up and sorted made about £65 on it. Sadly the phones went to Jersey and Portugal so I need to post them rather than let my DH send them with courier via the company. I have charged them enough to cover it just a shame really as I have to go to the Post Office and I am not sure where there is on where I am going.

My laptop does have a 3g card but all gambling sites are blocked incl this one so if I don't post for a while you know why. Take care all

Hiya Im online WIFI in my hotel so that is such good news as I am here for 3 nights. Other good news it is a 4 star on a golf course which is just so nice. Huge room and all the trimmings here think I shall enjoy myself dispite the hard work ahead.

Had quite a hectic day but nice to sit here with a latte in the hotel lounge all paid for of course by the company.

Sorry I have not been around for a few days they sales strategy meeting was just so hectic.

Lots of work but also nice dinners etc etc so all in all quite good. Also nice to get to know people better as I do feel isolated working from home. Off to Dover today mad really but otherwise I would have had to do it yesterday and it took me 5 hours instead of 4 to get home yesterday.

Playing a bit of golf at the weekend but mostly relaxing. Really tired after this week so it will be nice with a long weekend. Will also give me time to MB and sort bit and pieces out.

Oh and by the way the wetroom is done, it looks super so I shall take some pictures off it over the weekend. So nice that it is done and I really don't mind the cloakroom having to wait just nice to get the house back to normal.

Its a shame you can't see the finish on the black tiles in the wetroom they have a really nice shine to them. Spent this morning trying to clean some of the grime of the tiles quite hard but think it looks clean now.

Been to town to sort my currency out exchanged it at Barclays in the end got 10 to 1 so not too bad. At least now it will help my offset account and I can "borrow" it to pay for the wetroom. Still not had a bill so will have to wait but I think it will be at least £5k as we wanted the wetroom fully tiled and Mike bought the tiles for us. Also owe him for a cabinet, lights and some more black tiles on top of the amount he qouted for labour in the first place. Will have to wait and see.

Done a bit on MB but want to do some more just thought I would pop in and show you my pictures. So nice to have the house back to normal and have places to put things.

  • Tall girl Its looks gorgeous. Very jealous as I would like to do my bathroom (s). I will be doing them one a time shortly so might 'pinch' some of your ideas.

Thanks KM that is very kind of you to say that and I am flattered that you would consider using my ideas.

Just had a Skype message from my sister (took a week to get it) our buyer pulled out so we did not sell the doll after all. Someone else is interested in one of the others so we shall wait and see.

Off to play golf today but it is just raining so annoying. My Dyson Buyer is coming at 1.30pm so I need to call him to say I won't we here. Would it be rude of me to suggest I leave it behind the unlocked gate and he can pick it up without me here? Not sure. Off to have to breakfast just done my first be on the Skybet promotion. Only made £1 from the one yesterday as I forgot it was SNR and it won. Typical beginner error which I should not do by now. At least I did not loose any money.

Damm just tried on my blue trousers as we need to play in club colours and they are so tight. Really must loose some weight.

Played really bad yesterday and my trousers were just silly could not do the top button up but had no other blue ones. Must get on with the diet now. Good value for money though playing in a club match, round of golf and a two course dinner for £12 per head. Bargin and it was a nice course.

Played in the Bank Holiday Scramble at my own club today. Cost £2.50 and that was it. DH won first prize with his team £20 and my captain sorted my swing out that is £12 saved on lessons not bad really.

Done my SkyBet £20 on the Pompey game for Defoe to score. Know we are going to loose but still going to watch the game.

Nothing else to report, minor disaster I can't get into my Nationwide account online so have had to ask for new log ins. Pain in the bum.

Hope you are all enjoyed the long weekend and not spend too much.

Right as usual new week and I am full of good intentions.

Need to keep going to loose some weight or buy new clothes which is difficult as I can only fit into Long Tall Sally Trousers. Will also be expensive as I have just bought a load of new ones size 14. Did not have a drink last night so that is 1 glass (it was a small one) for the last 2 days which is good for me. Need to post some letters later will walk up to the post post. Also must get back to the gym thinking about having some sessions with a personal trainer just to get going again. Might use some MB profits for that.

Also been thinking about our life insurance and critical illness cover. We pay £40 a month for a term assured policy which is set to pay off our mortgage. It would pay off what the mortgage should be had be not overpaid so my guess would be about £40,000. However I was thinking about cancelling it as I get life insurance with work and we could get quite cheap life insurance anyway if we drop the critical illness cover. I don't feel I need it as the mortgage is now £18k. We could afford to stay here if one of us could not work. I am no expect on these matters but I think it makes sense. Would save us £480 a year might just check out what life insurance would cost before I go any further.

Need to claim my expenses today they owe me for about 2 months now. Getting a credit card for work expenses now which should make that easier.

Lots of work to be done I mean proper work but want to check out the life insurance calculator on this site first.

Update: just had a look and it is very complicated. Not sure how much cover we need and for how long. Did one on Tesco online for £200k and 20 years. My premium would be £15 DH £75 and joint it would be £80 a month. That is far too much right now so will have to leave it. Proably better to wait a bit longer until the Mortgage is virtually paid off.
