Jonesy Bonesy congratulations on your weight loss that is amazing in such a short time. I am not sure I could live on shakes alone. I have low bloodsugar and need regular food to keep it stable. If you have kept off all food and drink whilst on this diet I agree it has been quite money saving. Sorry to change this into weight loss instead of MFW but I think they are related as it is all about saving money.

Managed to not drink at all last night which I am pleased with. Also no crisps or biscuits just a few sweets. Feeling awful again today heavy cold trying to fight it off with First Defence and herbal stuff to boost the immune system. Have to go and face the public today as I have an appointment at 9.30am but its only local.

Got a cheque from MIL for my birthday, spent it already on some nice Biotherm as a treat. It is really nice to spend some time in the bathroom now so might as well enjoy myself.

Need to go to the shops too no loo roll left and totally out of food. might check the exchange rates too.

Also need to get some MB done - signed up with a new bookie yesterday Acumen Sports 100% sign up plus free bets for 3 months. Victor agreed to give me the £5 free bet from the Open he owed me and I still need to do Canbet have £150 left to do to get the £200 bonus. At least the Football is nearly back now.

Evening, just starting to relax had a hectic day. Good meeting 20 turned up and the two speakers were really good. One of them is heading up a new project with in my line of work that sounds just like the thing I would love to do. Got down to my Captains Day but it wasn't that much fun as I hadn't played so left after 1.5 hours.

Have so much MB to do the offers are flodding in now the footie season is starting. Need to find a new way to record it all. Anyway just a quick post today got my 4 items on Ebay fingers crossed.

    Financial Update
Had a look at the quote for the bathrooms and although we have paid the main on we still need to pay for the ensuite and cloakroom. We changed a few things after the quote was done so we need to pay a bit more than the £4.5k I was hoping for. DH isn't able to pay anymore towards it as we more or less spends his salary every month and he likes to have a bit of money in his account. I am fine about this as he is paying back the Bathstore loan however I really don't want to increase the mortgage even if it is just on the offset.

So I have decided to use my Danish money £3500 (which is actually my mums) to offset. She is happy for me to have all the interest so I can get the £50 via the NatWest offer plus the rest of the capital can help offset my mortgage. I think that is be best solution so today I am going to get it exchanged into £. I do have my £2500 profit from MB still but I need that to continue to MB so can't use that for the moment.

Still got a cold really fed up with it now. Need to do a lot of work today but I don't really feel motivated. Mike is coming today and so is my cleaner so I need to sort something out so they can both work here. Feel like just going out and leaving them to it but that would be silly.

DH told me he spoke to Mike yesterday. He can't wait to do the tiles and see the finished result but he is also apprehensive about doing them at it is tricky. I think he will be fine apparently the pattern around the drain will look like a Union Jack because of the cut lines. He has spent ages designing that so it look just right. Quite cute I think.

Just a small rant, why do you always get so much less when you sell currency back.
When we were in Denmark we were paying 9.60 or so for every £ but now I want to sell Krone they are over 10 which means this

    28,000 kr changed (no commision):
    Post Office = £2767
    Barclays = £2781

Not great is it Thomas Cook Global which was recommended to me on here is
£2837 so £70 more but it is in London and I am not going up there until 12th September. Maybe I should just wait and see if the £ falls even more.

PS: Mike is working away and I am dying to have a look.......maybe I will sneak one when he goes outside in a minute to cut another tile.
wow it lovely looks so cool quite shinny when the lights are on like someone has spilt petrol on a black tile.

Forgot to tell you that I have been a victim of identity fraud again with someone using my Tesco Mastercard. Now this is the second time it has happened but they had a watch on my card and spotted it straight away and called me.

Apparently someone signed up to Napster and the transaction went through so that was their way of testing if the card was good. Then they tried to book several flights to the Phillipines over the net and they is when it got stopped. Nothing is showing on my account as they have wiped it all out so well done to RBS once again.

A bit annoying though as this is the second time but I like the card as it gives me Airmiles so might keep it when I get the new one.

Been shopping this morning, went to Macro to get some bins for the bathrooms. They were £14 in John Lewis but in Macro they were £8.21 incl VAT. Good saving. Also got a 12l one for the bedroom and some fuel for the Chimera. Shop was totaly empty as they had just opened so quite quickly in and out.

Got my Biotherm treat delivered so had to pick it up from the Post Office. Paid for with the birthday money my MIL gave me. Work sent me some lovely bath stuff so that was nice. Really posh as the price list is included over £20 for showergel and bodylotion.

Lastly Ebay is doing well, one item has a bid on it and there are several watcher on the others. My dad has given me and Oboe and a Holmegaard vase to sell but I have not put those on yet. I have no idea what the Oboe is worth but watching one of the same make (no idea of models etc) that is over £100. The vase is worth about £55 so might try to sell it closer to Christmas.

Update on Ebay I have now had two emails asking me if I will sell the phone now as at Buy it now. One is offering £20 and the other just asked for the price. Both have bought several of my type of phone in the last few months so they obviously sell them on. I told one I would accept £50 as that is was they are Max making (looking at sold ones) but that was too much. I think I shall let it run its cause, I didn't pay for it in the first place it was given to me at work and when I upgraded they never asked for it back.

Mike did 12 tiles yesterday in 5 hours - slow progress but it does look good.

In laws comng for Danish lunch today and then there is the small matter of Pompey v Man U. DH thinks it is better to have them down to watch football as it means we dont have to talk to them. I disagree but they are a bit of a pain at times. Nees to sort the holiday snaps out so they can see them if I can remember how to show them on the DVD.

Also on the wine front it looks something like this for the week, Mon 2 Tues 0 Weds 2 Thurs 1 Fri 2 Sat 2 so over by two. Much better but not good enough.

Got the phone unlocked by MSE cool listed as unlocked now. Decided to list DH's old phone at 99p start.

Survived the Inlaws bickering and they finally left at 5pm after the dreadful football where Pompey obviously had not practiced their penalties.

The DH said lets walk to the pub something we never do and we haven't been to that local one for over 1 year. Walked passed and about 3 people in there so went on the next one. Met our friends in there, they came back for a takeaway curry and I got to bed at midnight. It did have a really nice evening but I am a bit tired today. Thinking about how much wine I had it must have been 3 glasses so the total tally for the week is 12 glass 5 more than I should have and a total of just under 4 bottles. Still too much but better than I normally do. Lost 2lb so that is a bonus too.

Did quite a bit of MB and now waiting for my £50 free bet from Sporting bet and just used my £30 free bet from CanBet. Still have a large WR to do at Canbet but my £300 bet wont settle until next weekend so will have to wait for that one. AccumenSportI have bet on the cricket so that should settle later today and I hope it won't be a draw. Not going to sign up for anymore until I have done those. Did not manage to beat VC nor get the Stan James competition right this weekend so no £10 for me.

Not got that much on this week but must do some work. Still have that 90 page report to read and write a summary of and sort by area into catagories before next week. Problem is if I have too much time on my hand I don't get much done.

Showed off the bathroom to our friends they liked it. They have a very differnt taste to ours but he does fit bathrooms himself and he said the work was top notch so that was nice to know. We had a chat about happiness and money and they think it is important that you love your job but you also want to get paid for it. They are both just over 50 with a 15 year old and a 18 year old. She is a midwife and she keeps saying we should have children. Tricky subject so stayed away from it. Hey it might never happen especially with me being away for the 2nd half of August.

They invited us for Christmas Day at theirs which I was quite touched by but we are going to Denmark to be with my sister and the kids. The inlaws also asked yesterday what we are doing and when I told them to room went silent. Better get shopping at Tesco so we can pay for the flights in Airmiles.

Mike asked to speak to me yesterday and he told me he is finishing the wetroom Saturday or Monday so that is good news. The bad news is he needs to get on with the next job as they are going on holiday so he is going to leave us for 2 weeks then come back 1st week in September when the others are away and do cloakroom. I couldn't really say no but feel a bit funny about it. He has been here 3 months now and fair enough he doesn't want to loose his next job. Also it will give me more time to get some money together to pay him for the job. It is also a shame as next week I am up at HQ from Monday to Thursday so would have been out of his way.

MB is OK, got totally confused about I bet I had placed yesterday which lost at Betfair and I could not find out which bookie it was from. All sorted now but I need to keep better records.

Still not done anything about the Danish cash might just go to Barclays and take the hit on the conversion would come in handy to pay Mike. Sent back the NatWest stuff so should hear soon. Guess they have been flodded as Martin mentioned it in his email.

Diet still going well, only 2 1/2 glass wine this week, no biscuits and no crisps.

Hope you are all well nice to see the MFi3 still popping up we need to keep it up there now it is no longer a stickie.

Update: just spoken to Mike and he has agreed to fix my lightswicth in the lounge that DH messed up. Very nice of him.
