Quick update as things are not going too good with the new me. Eating sensible for today is already out of the window and I did not make it to the gym.

Have done very little work just messed around on MSE but have found out a few usefull things.

Got £15 out of the free £10 from Stan James so that is at least something good.

Healthy diet is still some way off actually I did quite badly and did not make it to the gym either. Woke up with a sore throat feel a bit off today and I do need to do some work as boss texted me as said she will call later.

Rainning so did not get all my new towels dry so can't sort out the bathroom will have to wait.

I have a small inherritance from my gran mother in Denmark as well as a current account with some of my mother money in it. It is not worth moving the bulk of the money but the current account is only paying 0.01% so my mum agreed I could take £3500 over here and then she has money when she needs it in England. I get the interest of course.

I need to get the cash changed over to £ and find a home for it. I wanted to open an ISA at Barclays but they have just dropped their rate and don't really want to go for the ICESave option in case she needs the money quickly so I am toying with the idea of just putting in into my offset and then find an ISA before the end of the Tax Year.

Also my friend is looking to move out of her small flat and share a house with a friend. She works in a very expensive area near Winchester and it is difficult to find rental properties. She has found a 2 bed house at £750 a month in Bishops Waltham - that is so scary I am so glad I don't have to fork out that sort of rent. How do single people afford to rent....and she is even on a pretty good wage considering she is only 28.

Anyway Mike is here working away so I should do the same, he has put the membrane up for the wetroom and I don't think it will be long before he can start tiling. He really is quite nice and so funny sometimes in particular when he sings with his headphones on.

Cooking veal in the slow cooker tonight, need some real winter food with mash in this horrid rain.

Note to self how much did you achieve yesterday

    1. Cut down on Wine (I don't drink anything else alcoholic)
Plan: limit to 7 glasses (200ml each) per week
    Had 2 glasses
    2. Get my lower back more mobile and get fitter
    Plan: Go to the gym twice a week, 2 x 45min pilates & 2 x 45min in the gym
Did not go to the gym
    3. Cut out biscuits, crisps and cakes completely from my diet. Limit on Latte's
Plan: Eat more for breakfast, make sure I have lunch at a sensible hour also when on the road.
no biscuitsn no Lattes but 1 packet of pork cracklings 41% fat also some sweets.

Big note to self today must do better

Your doing better than me I've been trying for over a month to eat more healthily without much luck. I managed to eat two homemade GF scones, two GF chocolate biscuits and a second helping of dinner yesterday, and have already had a GF Chocolate Brownie today, but I did have some Melon first shame fruit isn't very filling. Good luck for today

    Hi TG,

I wish you luck on the healthier diet thing, I am in exactly the same boat and hopeless at the moment.

I thought having a lovely beach holiday to look forward to might incentivise me into losing a bit of weight - but it hasn't happened yet!

I have a great top of the range running machine that I never use. I am truly ashamed :o
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Glad I am not the only one struggling with the extra pounds. Angela perhaps you can send your running machine my way and you can use my gym membership. Maybe we could form the MFi3WW forum or even MFi3SW although I have never joined any of those clubs in my life.

  • Hey there

Since there have been a few "weight" related posts I thought I'd share what I have been doing for the last month...... LIPOTRIM !

Works a treat. Total meal replacement - no food - no beer - no nothing except 2 shakes a day ( 3 for the ladies ).

Been on it for 4 weeks and lost 26 lbs, virtually 2 stones :j

Another 1 1/2 stone to go and I'll be sorted. Costs £48 per week from the pharmacist. Shocking price, but when you factor in zero spend on food and ale it's not too bad.
