Oh yes:D - and once I've had a glass of wine I always fancy a packet of crisps (or two):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'm trying to increase my exercise at the mo. I have a step counter and have been trying to get in a couple of brisk walks a day plus use my exercise bike. I really enjoy it but it's so time consuming....0 -
Right calories in wine
White Wine
250ml glass (lets not bother with 175ml no one ever has that) 165 cal
1/2 bottle 248 cal
1 Bottle 495 cal
Red wine
250ml glass 170 cal
1.2 bottle 255
1 bottle 510
Just for information 1 bag of Walkers crisp is 175 cal and 3 Mcvities Plain Chocolate Digestives is 252 cal.
Time to seriously cut down.
Thats 1155 calories just from wine since Monday no wonder my trousers feel tight. Shame on you TallGirl - imagine how I would look at 5ft nothing. Pearshaped springs to mind.
Ahem, think what you've said above is slightly inaccurate. Shouldn't it be:
250ml glass lets not bother, no one ever has that
1/2 bottle lets not bother, no one ever has that
or is it just meA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Afternoon, had a really nice game of golf at Captains Day today. We got there too late for the Breakfast we had paid for. Totally our own fault for not checking the start time and we only live 3 min away. My team was lovely we came 12th and got a nice fold up camping chair. We then had lunch and tonight there is music singing and supper at the club house. Should be a good night.
Did a bit of bonus chasing last night. Now this is not MB and you are not allowed to post things like this on the MB board. Partybets quite often sends you special offers something like deposit and get 25% extra free. To get the money out you need to play it 12 times so tricky to do. However I got one with deposit and get 100% back to play bingo with. So I deposited £25 to get £25 (risky I know) and played. I kept maxing on every game and soon I started winning. Everytime my balance got over £50 I took it out or MB it. I need to wager in there anyway due to the free Wimbledon Bet. Anyway I got £25 out so quite happy and still had my £50 to play bingo with. I had to wager a total of £600 on bingo to get the £50 back so just carried on playing. I kept winning and at one point I let DH play a bit of rouletter where he won about £40. So you can see we are not talking risk free but I made £150 in total after taking off my initial £25. It is not recommended to do this as you may never win on bingo or you win too little to ever make it over £50. I managed to wager £200 but no way would I have got to £600. Bingo is also really really boring.
Did the Totesport free £5 casino offer, that is risk free you play Top Trumps and find the 5 cards that can't be beaten. Easy £5 in there. Should also have £10 to play casino with at Stan James on Monday if I got the spot the ball right. Victor has a beat Victor for the Open and last round of the Scottish Open so poss more money there. Now all of these are in effect free to enter so as you can see it is possible to MB without signing up to new bookies.
Still haven't placed by first bet with Canbet and we are going away on Friday so need to get on with it. I would like that free £200 but the odds are quite grim and the football hasn't started yet.
Off to have a bath in my lovely new bathroom before we head out again.

Music last night was awfull so we left about 11pm but a good evening and we had been up at the club most of the day so it didn't matter.
Went to see a friend to sort out golf tee time this morning but we couldn't do it as they only book between 3 and 6pm. That is ok as she can do it now.
Went down to Portsmouth to the historic dockyard to see the Seastallion a replica Vikingship. It has been in Dublin for a year and is now on its way home to Denmark. It was interesting to see it and nice to hear my mother tongue being spoken. I did not speak Danish to anyone but I could have done. The ship is really small and there are no cover so hope they don't get too much rain. It was free to see it so that was nice.
Then went to Gunwharf to buy two birthday presents. Got to poloshirts in Gap for £17 down from £20 so that is a bargin. Drove home to have lunch so free too. Had to pay for parking though.
The not so cheap part if the day was the new vacumn cleaner. Our beloved Dyson is 13 years old and the band had broken. They are only £2.50 but it isn't as good as it was. Had seen one in Argos at £200 £100 off but it was sold out. Went to Curry they had one at £180 but it wasn't the Animal model I really wanted. Popped over to Comet and they had it at £200 and it was the next model up from the Argos one. Bought that and bands to fix the old one. Not sure what we do with it now it still works perfectly maybe offer it on FreeCycle or Ebay.
Tried it on the newly cleaned carpets and lots of cat hair came out so is good. Has a special brush for furniture so that should save on the cleaning bill.
Wine count had gone to rats and we are going to inlaws for a drink at 5pm so I hope for change they have some softdrinks in or I might take my own.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Watched cricket for 2 hours at the in-laws so boring and difficult to have a conversation with the TV on but hey ho. Did not have anything to drink to total for this week is is 5 1/2 bottle of wine or in terms of 250ml glasses 16 or 17 so far too much. Difficult to do well this week as we go on holiday on Friday but should do better.
Off to London today to meet up with my manager she wants to see how far I have got with what we discussed last time. I know I have not done all I should do too much time spent on here or MB. Ups again must do better.
Going out for a curry with a guy I used to work for tonight so hope I get back from London at a resonable hour. Trains are so boring and you can't use a mobile on this one as it cuts out all the time.
Must run a few reports before I go, train is in 1 30 hours.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Great trip to London to meet with the boss she did not asked what I had done so got away with it for now. She did mentioned having 5 meetings a week and at the moment I am averaging 3. Got sun burned as we sat outside, typical me fair skin blond hair.
Was going out with my "friend" who I used to work for. Pitched up at his house at 7pm as agreed no one home. Left my mobile at home (typical me as well) so off to find a phone box. He lives in the edge of a very rough Council Estate so did not enjoy driving around on that. Phone home no message on my phone but got friends number and left a message. Drove home tried to find a take away as fancied a Chinese. Closed as it was Monday so had cheese on toas and was quite !!!!ed off really.
Got a call about 9pm, hi how are you and sorry. I broke down had to get help took several hours. I think he lied and it !!!!ed me even more off. Did not fix up another date as haven't got time this week and then on holiday. Also away at HQ with work later on in August.
Good think was it saved me lots of money and I did not have a drink so good start to the week in that respect.
Off to Cornwall to say overnight. Need to book hotel and at least it will earn me some Quidco money.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi Tallgirl just popping in to say hi, although I don't really post on it I do read all the time. Yours is another one of the diaries that inspires me, you've done so well with your mortgage, now having beautiful bathrooms fitted and the matched betting is going good too you should be really proud of yourself. I'm really jealous of the golf as I have always wanted to learn to play and it sounds like you get a good social life from it, I fear I won't be very good at it so have never gone beyond the wanting to try really.
Anyway just thought I'd do a quick post so you knew I was reading and you're inspiring.
Thanks

Thank you keepingmotivated that is so kind of you to say that. I sometimes think I demotivate myself by spending money on clothes, bathrooms, holidays you name it but I guess I do keep an eye on the MFi3 and want to reach that.
With regards to Golf is it a hard game to learn especially if you like me are not sporty at all. It can be done and you are right it is a nice place to meet like minded people. I just managed to get a 2 bedroom appartment on a gofl course in Cornwall to stay in tonight. £65 and work pays for it all. I really want to finish up my work and drive down there now.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Sitting here in lodge in Cornwall and gosh is it lovely. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge wow I am spoiled. Had a lovely dinner, fish and mash and chocolate cake for pud. All paid for on expenses lovely.
Only sad thing is I am on my own but guess that is part of the job.
Golf course looks lovely too - people are still coming off the course and it is 9pm....Save £12k in 25 No 49
