Aww thanks I do feel better now and she did text me to say it was OK to call her. Actually spoke for 45 min and we are going to visit them next month when we are in Denmark. She is not feeling that great with her pregnancy but the baby is fine so that is a relief.

Nice to know my 45min call cost 1/2p a min thanks to Martin and 18185 (works a treat). Also spoke to my mum on Skype, got to see her on the webcam and it was free.

Going to slow down with MB now, will get some free bets from Victor Chandler but until the footie starts I don't think want to do too many new ones.

Going to watch the golf this weekend as I am not played. Dilemma Ladies profesional tour is playing in Oxford and the men are at Maidstone so who do we go and see. Travel is free as I have a company car but:

Men's tickets are £20 each plus parking
Ladies are free as we were given tickets but parking is £10.

We could do both Saturday and Sunday, not sure but we usually go once a year so this a a perfect opportunity.

    Hi TallGirl,

I always enjoy reading your thread and you seem to be doing well on your MFW adventure.

I've been interested that you've made around £2000 in MBing in 6 months! That would be a really great boost to my overpayment amount so I am thinking of taking it up too. I know nothing about sport, but am going to set aside some time to really read the MBing board and posts really thoroughly to get my head around it all. You say you're taking a break from it - any particular reason?

    Hi Zebedy
Thanks for the kind words it is always nice to hear that someone reads my diary.

Regarding the matchbetting break it is really because there is no more football on until the new season starts and it is so much easier to match bet on football than horses, tennis, golf etc. You can MB on other sports but if you are a beginner stick to football. Another reason is that the nice signup offers are usually around a big sporting event such as Grand National, start of the footie, Euro 2008 etc etc and so it might be worth waiting. If you need any help just ask on the beginners thread or if I can help I am more than happy to do so.

This is true - TG very kindly held my hand through my first ventures into the Matched Betting world and was very patient with all my questions, for which many thanks TG.

I would recommend reading the beginners thread at the top of the Mbing board lots of times - I printed it off and kept it by the bed for night time reading to help it go in. I have done a few offers, about half a dozen, which were floating around over the Euro championships and have made about £350 profit :j . I am also going to take it slowly now until the footie season kicks off again as I'm sure there will be some good offers to consider by then. I really enjoy it, but find I have become a bit obsessed by it all

Glad to hear you sorted it out with your friend in Denmark TG - I have a long standing friend who lives in Devon, so not quite as far away, but we only chat a few times a year but it's like we've never been apart once we get going!

Thanks Dingling it was a real pleasure helping you I am glad you are still going to continue. I have made a few mistakes today on the horses so will wait until the football now.

Got my £82 for depositing with Mooneybookers at VC, very nice now I just have to find some good odds. I think I shall go for golf but a bit later in the week as the game does not start until Thursday or I might wait until the Open.

DH managed to turn £10 casino freebie into bets of £15 so that was nice of Stan James. It kept crashing but at least we got the money out.

Bathroom update we have a tiled floor and nearly all the walls tiled now. He takes such a long time to do it but it does look brilliant. He was fitting the towelrail radiator thing yesterday. He drilled all the holes in the wall and put the thing up only to take it down today to fit the tiles behind it. That ensures a perfect fit but it must take a lot longer.

Need to write some more reports only done one so better get on with it.

    Morning
Still stuck working at home this week and the boss is on leave so motivtation is flagging somewhat. I am doing a training day tomorrow which is nice as it gets me out of the house.

Bathroom looks fantastic all the tiling is done and the colour scheme really works so pleased with it. The very expensive Live Tiles look stunning and the black bathpanel really works. I will take a picture once the grouting has been done. Need some more tiles for the the ensuite so he is not getting here until late today. I want a word with him to tell him how nice it looks but I also need to get a new mobile charger as my phone wont charge but its ok on the car charger so guess it it the charger not the phone.

Right time for some pictures now it is not finished and the floor hasn't been grouted but I thought I would show you.

I really like the black bathpanel that now matches the floor. Mike is going on Holiday on Wednesday so he has promised to finish it by then. :j

Toilet, radiator, sink, cabinet, shower and showerscreen are not in yet so there is a lot to do still.

TG That's a great bathroom. I love the big tiles, and the little ones too (Are they the Live Tiles- they look expensive). I'm a lurker, an intermittent extra mortgage payer, but think you're all doing v well. I did pay off my first mortgage- then fell in love with my current place which is a "project" so am back in the saddle for another 18 yrs, 3 months. At least that's the current situation, IYKWIM!;)
