Really really tired this morning as I did not get home from HQ until 9pm, we started the meeting at 9am so a 12 hour day. Today and tomorrow I am working from home and I have a heap of things to get done that I am behind with for my new boss. I am meeting her again on the 4th so it all need to be done by then.
Nice to spend some time with the other people in my team we went out for a drink and a meal Tuesday night which was lovely. One girl who has only been there 6 months is actually 4 months pregnant and she might be leaving soon. She was the one I felt to jaloux off and I think it was my chat with her that helped me make a decision about having a baby. (Gosh that is scary now I have written the B word).
She is really pleased that I have made a decision and I shall be sad if she leaves. My new boss is having a few troubles her DH left her after they had been married 3 years and known eachother for 7. She has two children by a previous marriage and now need to sell the house. Not a good time to have to do that. Glad I am not her. Anyway must get dressed before the bathroom fitter arrives, he has now stripped everything out and says he might even get the bath in today.
Still not placed a bet with my new Euro account I might tonight if I can find a good enough match on the footie. Denmark is played Holland but those odds are rubbish.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Ups no update from me today not that I have that much to report.
Been working from home today so finally got all the work done for my boss. I still need to categorise all my contacts but I have until the 4th to do that.
Playboy Casino sent DH the second email so he is now £29 in profit thanks you them. This offer is so easy please PM me if you want to have a go it is so easy and I promise totally risk free.
Won at BAH so now need to wager quite a bit but I finally got the hang of Dutching so that was a relief which should save some money as I don't have to pay commision at Betfair. Lets just say I would like Switzerland v Liechtenstein to have less than 2.5 goals.
Also made a doctors appointment for Friday so make sure I am ok to go ahead and try for a baby. I did have the tests done a few years ago but think it is wise just to check. I want DH to be there he never goes to the doctor and I don't think it would hurt if he went with me. His toenails needs sorting out with some antifungal treatment (sorry if you are eating) so we have a double appointment.
When I told him he really did not want to come, said he does not do doctors but I have told him he is coming so we shall see. Why are men such babies when it comes to things like this.Save £12k in 25 No 49

What a nice day yesterday sunny and warm perfect for golf. Want to get the lawn done today but it has rained overnight and is too wet.
Reading Martins Money Diet and there are a few things I need to look at.
Telephone: BT were charging me £4.40 a quarter for caller display because I was making less than 2 calls a month. (My calls were with Tesco) Swapped back but BT charge 25p a minute to Denmark which I call mainly on Skype for free or on Skype out for 2p a minute. However it would be nice to be able to use the normal phone so I don't have to have the PC on. I need to look into to getting another provider one of those override calls things.
Healthcare: I used to be with BHSF and got money back on healthcare such as dentist ect and it was cheap as I got a good rate paying it directly out of my Council wages. However when I left the rate went up so much and my new company haven't got a deal like that. I need to look into this as DH has quite bad teeth and we both use glasses and I have contacts.
Well I think that is enough for me to do today while I wait for the grass to dry. DH mumbled something about seeing the in-laws but I really don't want to hopefully he will forget about it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Rigth sorted the phone out gone with 18185 but to be honest they all looked much the same. I pay 4p per call then 1/2p a min which is better than Skypes 2p and convenient. It also works on mobiles so I have added my works on in case I need to call Denmark in an emergency they would not want to pay that.
Decided to leave the Health Care one and ask work if they are going to sign up with one. You need to wait 6 months before you can claim so it would be a bit silly if they then provide us with one.
Another money saving tip from me that I have just done if to save buying new clothes when they get faded just dye them. Dye cost £4.50 from Wilkinson and I have just dyed my cropped trousers, a cotton sweater, a sleeveless west, a polo shirt and a pair of shorts. Good as new and lovely dark navy blue again.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Well I think that is enough for me to do today while I wait for the grass to dry.
Gardening tip for the impatient - if you rake the grass over with your lawn rake (spring / tine rake) held upside down then the water crops fall off, allowing the grass to dry more quickly. You can use the backside of a normal rake too, works the same.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I have PM'ed you jbanks as I am sure people would get bored reading it on here. In a nutshell you have to sign up but don't deposit any money not eve give them your credit card. Then they start sending you email with free money to try them out which can be withdrawn after spending as little as 20p with them. This is unusual but it does work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Monday morning, have a 300mile round trip ahead of me today all for a 30min meeting. I really should have made some more appointments in the area my own fault. Not leaving until 10am so I will at least miss trafic.
Bust out of BAH yesterday lost a bit as I underlayed but no need to wait for the money to be withdrawn or loose some in currency conversion so quite happy. Must have got at least £145 of the £168 bonus.
Looking at buying extractor fans for the bathroom and have found the ones we like. There are several types and would prefer a humidistat one but they are so pricy over £100. The one I have found is with a timer and looks quite cool problem is I can only find it from 1 company which is so annoying. The price is £51 but the worst part is the £8.23 delivery charge. I need two but loathes to pay that much. I could get something much better for the same price but it would not look at good. Design over price and practicality......
Might ask on the DIY board what they think.
DH look at his bank statement for the first time in months yesterday and he read out all his DD's which I took note of so I can do a budget. He found he had overspend by £800 but that was tiles and the win shop in France. He is grumbling a bit that he has to spend is £7K savings on the bathroom but though luck I say. With an offset mortgage he really does not need savings in his current account. No more chats about making babies and I have not dared ask about the doctors appointment again on Friday. Will tackle that later in the week. Shame as we are usually quite good at talking so not sure he is entirely happy with his decision.
Anyway must get off now if I am to post this question on the DIY board. Take care allSave £12k in 25 No 49

Did not get any replies to my post of the I Wanna Board but Mike the Bathroom fitter left me a note saying he had not seen them anywhere else so will have to pay the high delivery cost.
Also going to order the ligths but will look to see if I can get them cheaper. This MSE way of living becomes so natural that it makes it hard just to buy the first thing you see.
Mortage has been updated we were charged £47.84 interest last months that is a reduction of £7.77 so I suspect our rate has come down. Nice to read that the offset saved us £56.84 last month so that means we are eating into the mortgage nicely. Savings are now building up at £750 taking my latest payrise into account but that will be spend on bathrooms so can't overpay more than I already do but have made a payment of £47.84 to get the balance back to £21k.
My sister was on the phone first thing asking me to bid for a doll on Ebay for my niece. It is a doll that is sold out in the Denmark and the new version is over £50. Even second hand the old model sell for £30 to £40 but on Ebay we are looking £4 to £5 to a real saving. Yes we will have to pay postage but as I am taking the car over I can bring it to her and I need a birthday present for my niece anyway. I can see myself buying a few and my sister and flogg them in Denmark at those prices. Could be a nice little earner so hopefully we can get a nice one today for my niece as it ends at 12 noon.
Well better get on with work need to catalgorise my whole database for a long meeting with my boss tomorrow. Take care.Save £12k in 25 No 49
