Chap just gone after doing the carpets. They are a lot better but we do need new flooring and I know I will want wood floors next time. He only charged me £140 so that is a lot less than I thought cool...

Email is playing up even after i got BT to have a look at it. It is intermittent so at least I get my email just a bit delayed.

Boss is back of holiday so the emails are really flying in. Lots to do and I need to sort my speaker out for the 9th September before I send the invitations out.

Found enough in the cupboard to make dessert with for my friend tonight so don't have to hit the shops. We are having roast beef with all the trimmings then Nigela Pear & chocolate dessert but with cheeries instead as I have no pears. Should be OK I think.

I think I might start added in here how many glasses of wine I drink as I am so trying to cut down. I nearly had to buy the next size up yesterday but just about managed to fit into 14 still. So starting now will add wine court to the signature.

    Hi TG,

I hire a Rug Doctor from Sketchleys (I've seen them in Somerfield too) and this costs £19.99 for 24 hours plus the detergent which lasts for several hirings. One of the counter servers mentioned that her husband had bought the same machine and had set up business doing people's carpets. It is a really impressive cleaner and has saved me hundreds!

P.S. I saw your wine intake in your signature and thought it related to number of bottles consumed, until I read your message.

Thanks that is really usefull Floxxie problem is the cathair that gets ingrown in the carpets so I think it is good value as it took him 5 hours to do it. But granted it would save me £120 to do it myself.

I will change my wine signature so other people dont think the same that would be really really bad wouldn't it.

Give it a go. I was really shocked at how powerful they are and how clean the carpets were afterwards and I got my OH to do the work so it took him hours!

Well I wouldn't like to comment on your wine bottle intake! Our glass recycling box is full up and every week I cringe when I hear it being collected and then the continuous breaking of our glass as it goes into the van! I was so embarassed last week that I haven't touched a drop of wine this week - one way to give up.

Morning feeling a bit rough this morning but I am sure it is not the wine I know I had 2 glasses may have been 2 1/2 not sure.

Dinner was a bit of a disaster really. Meat was not good it was topside so should have been fine but it cut so badly it looked like a right mess. It tasted OK though. Roast potaoes crap not good with new potatos really. Pudding was the worst though used cherries instead of pears but the had pips in them. Never ever have I bought a tin of cherries with pips in them. How crap is that. DH refused to eat it but it taste OK and our friend did eat it.

Nice evening but he was only here for 3 hours and then he is off to Afghanistan in September so I shall miss him. I think he was really tired had been training all day.

Need to sort a load out for work today so musn't hang around in here not MB. Boss is back with lots of emails so need need to sort that out. We are having a meeting on Monday where she wants to know how far I have got with the targets we set last time. I am not that far really so must hit the phones today.

Thats the whole point shame myself into cutting down, need to see it in black and white. Also there are so many calories in a glass of wine it makes sense to cut that out.

    Right calories in wine

    White Wine
250ml glass (lets not bother with 175ml no one ever has that) 165 cal
    1/2 bottle 248 cal
    1 Bottle 495 cal

    Red wine
    250ml glass 170 cal
    1.2 bottle 255
    1 bottle 510

Just for information 1 bag of Walkers crisp is 175 cal and 3 Mcvities Plain Chocolate Digestives is 252 cal.

    Time to seriously cut down.

Thats 1155 calories just from wine since Monday no wonder my trousers feel tight. Shame on you TallGirl - imagine how I would look at 5ft nothing. Pearshaped springs to mind.
