Hi Tallgirl.. It sounds like Mike is a very good tradesman but not very fast or consistent. Seems weird to stop your job to start another? Has he set you a fixed price for the whole job or are you paying for his time as you go?

No you are right he is not fast but he has been here every day since end of May and has worked most Saturday. I have a set quote for the job and just pay for materials so it does not really matter how long it takes. I can understand the other people that they don't want him to start just as they are off on holiday but then on the other hand I found it great that he could get on with it when we were away. I don't think the cloakroom will take him more than a week so not worried. He is working until 7pm tomorrow and has nearly finished the tiling in the ensuite. He has already done the pipes and fixing for the loo & sink so that will not take long. Maybe I should post a picture of work in progress.

Hope you weren't scared off my diary by those gold taps and the carpet just wanted a before picture as I forgot to take one for the other two rooms.

Been down to Dorset today really nice quick appointment then lunch with my friends. They live close to where I was going to I asked them to pick a pub to meet at. They did and it did look lovely from the outside right by a river etc. Unfortunately it was totally empty and it has been turned into a chinese really complete with takeaway so no pub food. Found another pub to eat at just goes to show you cant trust everything you find on the internet as that was how he found it. It said it had won awards etc.

Nice to see them he is off to Afghanistan soon hope he is ok, luciky he is back rooms staff so not on the front line. I had bought them some Danish stuff so they paid me which will come in handy so pay Mike.

He has nearly finished tiling the wetroom, staying until 7pm today so I think he will do it. Not spoken to him as he is wearing his headphones.

Need to do a bit of work write some reports etc ready for the week at HQ next week. Oh I so look forward to that.

Thanks for posting the pics Tallgirl, will be interesting to see the finished result. I like your taste, your bathrooms are lovely and I would pick a similar finish. I too would not like the gold so it will be nice for you to get that last bathroom finished.

I still like reading your diary, you do so well and seem to have a lovely life.

Thanks KeepingMotivated yes I do have a pretty lovely life and I think I need to appreciate it more. Be more positive especially about work.

Mike has almost finished the tiling so I think he will get on with the grouting today. I must must do some work this is the last chance before the big meeting next week.

A bit of good news on my dolls business. As you know I bough a lot of dolls on ebay to sell in Denmark and the first one has just sold. We bought 2 brand new dolls and a bed for £30 on Ebay and 1 doll and 1 bed has just sold for £60. That means we have made 100% plus there is still 1 doll to sell. I have an outlay of £120 so once we get that in everything else is real profit. Happy Days.

Matchbetting going really well, got a reload offer from CanBet for £70 but I need to finish the one I am doing now. Such big WR but it is worth it. Got my free Skybet placed and have a few more freebies outstanding. I have updated my signature as I am now above £2800. Not bad in 6 1/2 months. DH is still supportive but he can't understand why we can't spend it. I need to to continue but I might take some out at some point need to pay Mike soon.

Sold my screen protectors as a buy it now on Ebay all of £1.50 but better than nothing. I had ordered them originally on Ebay but seller sent me the wrong ones I it was too complicated to send them back. Just bid on some Danish things on Ebay would make nice presents and as they are listed in the wrong category I think I will get them unfortunately I wont be here when the auction ends.

My friend should be here any minute as we are going to the pictures to see Mama Mia. DH is not coming but we will come back here afterwards for some food and she is staying overnight. Have had to make up the bed in the lounge upstairs as the second bedroom is still full of Mikes stuff. He is here again today grouting the floor just done the walls so working quite quickly. He did not go home until 7 last night and he has promised it will be done by Monday. Typically I am not here to try it next week.

Anyway better get off, have lots on bets on and my friend should be here by now really.

Nice to have my friend around but my wine count went out the window and I have no idea how much I had. Not feeling hung over so it can't have been that bad. My friend is 29 and I have only known her for 1 year but she has been through a lot as a child and youngster and I have just found out she really suffers from mental health problems. She has anorexcia, bulemia and self-harms but hasn't done for a long time just something tipped her over the edge last week. She is really nice and she is getting help for it so hopefully it will settle down again.

Ebay is doing really well, 5 about of 6 are sold and we have 5 hours to go. Stands at about £30 now but lots of watcher so should get a bit more. Problem is I am away next week so DH will have to be here when people come to collect it. Alternatively they could pick it up from his work.

MB trying to do the Sky Super Sunday offer but nothing is really close. Its potentially a free £20 but I think I shall make something like £5 if I am lucky not sure it is worth it. Done the WR for Canbet now (I think I have so should be able to take up the next offer for next month).

Mike finished the grouting its looking good and I am confident he will finish on Monday. Can't wait to come back and see the finished result. Not paid him yet so not sure what we owe him.
