I guess our artex is quite plain but I am more of a minimalist girl and we do not have artex in Denmark.

Got my list of wishes for the rest of the family and managed to get my mum and DH a sweater in the The Open Golf Sale online 40% off so that was worth it even if the site is really really rubbish. It is not even linked to stocklevels so you have no idea if you are going to get it until you see the delivery note. Such rubbish really.

Updated list now looks like this:
    1. Mum Dsi stuff plus sweater total spend £45 sorted
    2. Mums partner Sweater from TK Max £12 Sorted
    3. Dad (sister will get something from both of us) sorted
    4. Uncle (sister will sort out other uncle is sorted) sorted
    5. Sister got two sweatshirt plus BodyShop goodies sorted
    6. Sisters husband (got fleece for birhtday present, webcam ordered) need something else
    7. Niece had got present but sis thinks she is too young for that so need to get dress & panties for her. Quite easy.
    8. Husband CD, DVD golf towel & black top plus ordered £45 sweater so he is totally sorted if it is in stock total spend £80 sorted
    9. Friend in Denmark got unbrella & dark sock plus body butter sorted
    10. Friends daugther nice outfit sorted

Ps forgot to mention Eric the Cat is not well. Took him to the vet Monday and they have to do some tests. Then had to get a wee sample (that was fun) and got that to them yesterday. Waiting for the call today. He has been out since I got home at 1 pm so not sure if he is OK or not as not seen him since I left this morning. He is 13 but I love him to bits and would have to loose him. Will update if there is any news good or bad.

Still no news from the vet but just sold a DS game on Amazon I know I will get it for Christmas so this is the spare one that came as part of the DSi deal. Made £10 profit as it only cost £10 more to get it as part of the deal.

Just wish the vet would ring however if it was really serious they might have rung by now.

  • Hi TG

I don't post often but always read your thread.

I just wanted to say I hope Eric is better soon. We had a terrible time with our cat last year and thought we would have to have her put down but luckily she bounced back. She is 11 now and much loved.

Thank you I am glad your cat is better now cheers me up a bit to hear they can bounce back. Mine is on and off his food and I am so tempted to call the vet to get the results. Do you think I should?

Put my Pandorax Box DS game on Amazon and it sold within the hour. I had it up for £24 should make £10 profit as it cost me £10 to buy as part of the bundle. I know FIL is getting me that game for Christmas hence the sale of it.

Looks like everything is being sent from the Open Shop so DH's present is sorted and I don't need to buy a putter.

Working from home today as I have cancelled the meeting I had. Must get to the post office with my works Christmas Cards and post the game.

Nothing else to report - just waiting for the vet.

Update at 10am: rang the vet our vet had a car accident and had to go to hospital so she was off yesterday. Is back in today so we should get a call. Just have to be pation I guess.

Had the dreaded call his thyroid is OK but his kidney and liver has higher than normal enzymes and his urine is diluted which suggests kidney and liver problems. She is most concerned about the liverpossible enlarged liver and structures. Sounds to me like tumor but don't want to speculate. He needs a scan before they can say anymore. At least he is not about to die today but it does not sound too good does it?

Just off to post my Christmas Card for work hope it is not too busy out there.

Yes it is hard to think about not having him around but I don't want him to suffer either. He is 13 and we will have the scan done but next door is a retired vet so I will ask him once we know what is wrong if he thinks it is worth doing further treatment. My old dog had surgery on a cyst only to get another one 6 months later so he really should have been put to sleep then. Arh don't want to talk about this its so sad but we don't even know for sure how bad it is. He is eating a bit more so that is good.

Going to the gym in 20min then work and more work so far behind.

Done most of my Chirstmas Shooping now just need my Niece and something else for my sisters DH. Even got my secret santa sorted so that was nice. Also sorted the in laws so that is a relief. Just have all the wrapping to do now.

Cat is still a bit off his food but he is going to get the scan done on Thursday so guess we will know mroe then. I feel kind of pesimistic about it but have to wait and see.

Just sorted out all my glasses in a big cabinet. I usually handwash them as they are Danish handmade ones but once a year they go in the dishwasher on the glass programme and they come out looking so nice. There is lights in the there and glass shelves so it looks really nice now.

Chilling out with a glass of wine later on hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

I usually make some home made presents and this year I have gone for Raisins in spiced port. They should be nice with cheese, pudding or game. Very easy to make and the only thing I had to buy was raisins, star anise & cinnamon sticks as we had a bottle of port already. The recipe said white for but I have used normal stuff. Got 7 jars all decorated with red fabric and gold ribbon. Just need to do some label. Hope they taste nice they wont be ready for another two week though.

Went to IKEA to get some goodies but the food hall was such rubbish. Got something for MIL and stuff for me in and out in 15 min so free parking. Handy. Harley Davidson shop was closed was going to buy something for DH's brother in there. Never mind. Should wrap up some presents but cannot be asked going to make labels instead far more fun.
