Hi TG
I don't post much but just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your diary updates, you are doing so well with your MF quest.
I saw a post from you on a different thread that your recent trip to Scotland was your first visit there, glad you enjoyed it, I work there a lot and it's lovely isn't it. A lot of people prefer Edinburgh to Glasgow but I prefer Glasgow.

Yes setmefree2 the trip to Scotland was ace and to think it was all work I am actually quite lucky with my job aren't I. To think I could be stuck in the same office day in day out. Aboutmetoo I did not get to see much of Glasgow and I really want to go to Edinburgh so will be planning a weekend there in the Spring I should think. Can't keep going down to Cornwall and Devon can I.

Right have a busyday ahead of me and I am still in bed. Its DH birthday and we are going out for lunch with the inlaws in lass than 3 hours. Then they are coming back here for blackberry and apply pie which I need to cook.
I have my very good friend coming down at 6pm and I need to have a stew in the slowcooker as well as tidy up the space room. I would also like to clear my desk and our lounge upstairs so we can do some sewing in there tomorrow.
Phew better get on with it I guess.

Gosh a whole week almost since I last posted I have just been so so busy. Had a fab weekend my friend stayed over and we did some cushion covers for her out if the offcut from her curtains so almost free and I made a Christmas tablecloth which cost me £15. Loved getting back into sewing really must do more. Think I shall make a tablecloth for mother in law that should go down well.
Been off every day at 7.30am this week and getting back late so will be great tomorrow not leaving until 9.30am or so but will get back about 6pm. Then weekend cannot wait.
My friend was due to stay tonight and we were going out for dinner as he only called last night and I knew I would get back too late to do any shopping and cooking today. He then called to cancel just as I spotted a nice mystery shop at a local pub tonight so £15 worth of free food which is nice.
DH is home now so see you later.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Enjoy your pub meal tonight TG
I like the idea of making cushion covers out of the leftover curtain fabric. Are they hard to do? I've never tried sowing and wonder if its hard to pick up?Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Mystery Shop was really good ended up costing us £3 over the £15 but got 2 drinks each and a main meal so a bargain really.
It is really easy to make cushions this fabric was like voile so quite thin so I overlocked the edges but you could just zigzag them to stop fraying. Then sew it inside out on 3 sides and attach poppers to the 4th one so you can take it off to wash it. We used 50x50cm black cushions from IKEA I think they are £2 each and made 2 cushions and 2 tie backs from the 80cm we cut off the bottom of the curtains to make them the correct length for some French doors. Took about 1 hour. Looked so cool as the fabric was see through with shapes in it and in a nice dusty blue so the black showed from the cushions.
Just loading up my receipt for the Mystery Shop and then it is weekend. I must have worked at least 55 hours this week. Need a glass of wine I thinkSave £12k in 25 No 49

Done quite well on wine challenge this week and getting paid on Monday so will know how much I can put into my new savings account.
