You're doing well!
I always feel like life is one long series of short-lived attempts to eat better/exercise more, for me at least! The novelty of whatever I'm doing wears off after a while, but I figure as long as I keep starting a new round, and don't give up entirely, that's ok 😂6 -
I find there is generally one new positive habit that sticks - for me the one from the last round of effort is drinking more water regularly 😊Cheery_Daff said:You're doing well!

I am another fan of short lived efforts, and live in hope that some of the changes do stick longer term. I am doing quite well with it apart from an unfortunate Belgian bun incident today. It was very nice but the gluten does nothing for my poor stomach.KK the book does give veggie options on the recipes but only in cheese or tofu instead of chicken sense. My friend did kindly get my bike up and running. Short test ride today, another one for the 'be braver' thing as I hadn't been on a bike for years. It fits into my car easily which is a bonus as I hate road cycling so for preference will drive to cycle trails.
The house renovations got put back by a week but I'm making fair progress on the clearance at least. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Still no sign of the works starting, part of me is grateful for the delay but really I just want it over and done with now. Lots of progress on the house clearing at least.
Two trips out on the bike in the last week - one x 20 mile circuit with a (cruel!) friend, and the other a shorter ride locally, as well as 20k on my exercise bike. I am enjoying it and it doesn't seem to have the same impact on my joints/chronic fatigue as walking or running which is a relief. What I need to find is a 'couch to 5k' equivalent for cycling if anyone has any suggestions?
Eating is a very mixed bag with predictable results. I have at least been food shopping today so I have no excuse.
I bought a new cook book 'Full of Beans' which looks interesting, although it would have helped if I had read it before the food shopping.

I'm getting my bike fixed in the morning. There is a pop up bike place on the seafront. When my joints hurt cycling is good. They get exercised but gently. I couldn't do 20 miles!!
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I've been on the search for exercises that don't trigger my chronic exhaustion too. Swimming and elliptical trainer seem to fit the bill at the mo. I'd love to get back to cycling again but my knee is giving me gip and I don't like my bike (it's too big 🙈). I doubt I could do two miles without huffing and puffing so well done you on 20 😱.Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Thanks @rtandon27, I have installed that and will look tonight.
I would have said that I couldn't do 20 miles either @doingitanyway, but a good hybrid bike on a mainly flat and off road circular track made it easier. I was indeed huffing and puffing @debtfreewannabe321 and questioning my life decisions and choice of companions who enjoyed the 'nice short circuit for a change'. They did at least buy me lunch afterwards so not all bad, but that means I have to do it again to return the favour. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Also on the search for exercise ideas involving weights. So far my exercise has included (a) finding the weights and then (b) moving them from the yard store room to the house where they are now on a table
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!8
