I clearly haven't cracked it @northAthenian as I can't name anything productive i have done since I posted. 30 minute bursts used to work, so I am going to go and do 30 minutes on the Snug and will then report back.

I hope that, having had a break from it, the decluttering will 'flow' a bit more easily and the decisions you need to make will be much clearer.

4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)Original End Date - Sept 2041 *** New projection - Aug 2038 (reduced by 3 years & 1 month)6 -
oops, I went for half an hour and re-appeared a week later. There has been progress, and there should be a lot more this week as I have a friend coming to help me for a few days. I was also gifted some excellent storage boxes which will really help as I can pack stuff we will want but not right now away and stack them in the half empty garage.
I re-varnished the south facing wooden front door. It looks so much better as a result and cost nothing as I already owned all of the things. There are simple things like that that I can be doing if I can just find some motivation. I would rather find a job and pay somebody else to do it though.
Still going out cycling in between which helps my head a lot. My stamina and recovery is definitely improving but mostly it is about emptying my head of the annoying inner dialogue.

All progress is good. Anything happening on the job front?
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
SA, the job market for my type of role is very quiet indeed. I don't think being over 50 and essentially unemployed for two years helps either. I did get offered something recently that I wanted to do but then the funding got pulled. I will keep on waving my CV at things until something eventually sticks.
A very productive week/weekend. The indoor workshop, the one that made me hyper ventilate and leave, is now neatly stacked and organised. As is the outdoor workshop. Things are in the right boxes complete with labels. For the first time I walked back in there this morning and didn't want to cry.
We also attacked the front garden, some fairly major pruning of ivy and blasted Pyracantha has significantly improved the drive by appeal. I have lost some privacy as a result but so much more light into the front garden and house. I have a mountain of green waste to process, and typically the garden shredded gave up the ghost after 20 years of hard work.

Do your neighbours have green bins? (I'm going to ask mine if they have any space I can use)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
Great progress on the workshops, organising and labelling is very satisfying.

Getting the workshops done is a big milestone for you I think. Well done! 😊
Would it be better to wait until after a move before finding a new role? (Assuming you have the income to do so of course.)
