La, La, La, La I can't hear you. I would rather shove pins in my eyeballs! *which may have been what I said when @greenbee originally suggested it last year! and yes @rtandon27 you are right, it was a new suggestion to go and see that thing from another friend who should know better.
Anyway TT was very good indeed, I am still not a 'fan' but the whole thing was fairly spectacular. Belinda Carlisle opened and she was excellent. I still have 'circle in the sand' ear worming as a result. The worst bit was the hour and a half it took to get out of the car park, followed by a similar drive back to my friends house. I also squeezed a sneaky visit in in the afternoon to see a mini star wars exhibition in a local city museum which was well worth a visit.
I also finally decided on the classical music that I want to see performed, and committed to those tickets for the autumn. That is very much a first for me, quite looking forward to it.

Exciting stuff. I took VNM to his first classical concert with 2 girlfriends and he absolutely loved it. Which surprised us all I must admit, himself most of all!
He has also tried Opera and was grateful for the heads up that sopranos take a surprisingly long time to die, especially when freezing in an attic and ill with consumption but admitted he had enjoyed that too!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
Seeing as you refused ABBA, if you're dipping your toe in the classical waters, I'm going to insist on taking you to the Opera :)

any recommendations for things to do on a flying visit to Edinburgh? I'll have a few hours free on my own.
