June continues to be full of joy, even though it has been rather exhausting. The highlight so far has been Gor1llaz at the weekend - outstandingly good gig and we were about six feet from the front in a stadium filled with 70k people. My feet still hurt.

Todays commitments are a little more mundane, I have dropped my car off for servicing, and will be taking the tiny car with poor air con to the gym shortly. I need to do some cleaning and some washing, before walking back across the village to fetch my car later. I am then meeting friends to watch the football in their garden, so it will be a long day again.

Insomnia reward was three months of K1ndle U for free, my last offer only expired last week so I wasn't expecting another.

for those who are now considering Edinburgh trips, and as our lovely Mrs Stripes isn't here to say it, I will just point out that the Botanic Garden is wonderful! another one here who thoroughly appreciated the in-depth guide too - and especially the reminder of Cockburn Street being the place to be, although slightly alarmed that it was 30years ago!

An excellent but exhausting weekend. I have been hugged by many, many strangers (*shudders*), and hopefully made some new friends which will make moving county easier when I get that far. I did not hide in the kitchen so full points to me.

The final thing of my over committed run is this coming weekend, after which I need to focus on looking for a job and finishing this house.

A cryptic hint for this weekends gig, I need to remember to pack a spoon to wave!

ETA - some small triumphs:

My arms are now toned enough for me to be comfortable in a sleeveless dress in public

And I wore some high wedge shoes and was temporarily tall which pleased me. The ankle of doom behaved very well indeed which is a huge result.

The run of gigs is over for now, and it has been most enjoyable. No issues with claustrophobia which is a relief. It has been a good run, even quite enjoyed watching the football because of the people I watched it with. More hugging by people I haven't seen in many years but I am getting used to that.

I now need to get my head down and crack on here, no closer to being ready to go onto the market than it was at Easter. I am the queen of procrastination. Which is exactly what I am doing right now after all.

I need to make myself clear an area every day, and really apply the 'does it have a place in my new home' thing to get some progress. Nearly two years on and I'm still surrounded by tools and hobby stuff that I will never use.

I've been muttering about paying a house clearance company for a while and it might just be time to crack and do that.
