it's looking much better and he is ok with what I have done. Now that he can see the difference it makes he has agreed to some more things going. The chief hoarder had hidden a lot of things in the children's rooms so it has been a little tricky and emotional.

I've given myself a good scrub down too and will be having a rare glass of wine later to celebrate a job well done.

Well done for doing that tough job! I remember clearing DD’s room a couple of years ago when she was in hospital. The mess was awful 😞 Thankfully she’s kept it clean and tidy since then.

Thank you everyone, I would like to say that it has transformed the standard of tidiness but no such luck. It does look and feel better at least.

Lots of work done on clearing stuff this week, with a huge amount of stuff leaving or sorted ready to leave. I think I will have to crack and arrange for some sort of clearance company to come and deal with some of the outside stuff as it is just too big (physically as well as the overwhelm!) for me to deal with.

It is finally raining here (hurrah says the garden) which has revealed that there is a problem with the gutters. Might be wind damage, might have been the window fitters, either way just one more problem for me to get sorted urgently.

The gig I mentioned was excellent, very bouncy and I was glad I wore clunky boots as per PIPs suggestion! Next adventure is next weekend and then a few weeks of calm before the madness that is overcommitted June.

If you have budget available then just get the clearance company in, its not 'cracking', its being an intelligent woman who is looking after her outdoor space and I expect her back and knees too! You have done and are doing a ton of sorting and clearing work

Good to have identified gutter issue before autumn/winter rains and gusts set in, you are completely capable of getting a few quotes and potential dates so don't stress
