Busy few days, Sunday was lost to being a supportive mother and taking the eldest to see a friend in a northern city. I killed a few hours in the swedish store and at a tudor house with gardens. A rather exhausting day of driving and walking which meant that I did very little on Monday and just pottered yesterday as I was out last night too. I did rehome a mini greenhouse, a milk crate and yet more snowdrops to a friend.
I did accidentally get carried away and committed to another thing in June. June was already ridiculous. I think I will spend it broke and exhausted. Or broken and exhausted. Who knows, but it will be fun finding out.
Today I want to:
Check the garden for damage after last nights weather
See what plastic storage boxes I have in the garage
Do something about the 'exit' items which are stacked up in the big study
Paperwork - service, logs
Do something about one of the things on the kitchen list
Do an hour of ruthless to SYLO

Hope you can get the 'exit' items out… to make room for more 'exit' items ;)

Hope you can get the exit things out. It’s such a good feeling.

Well, some days have disappeared and a few things got done. Progress was slowed a little by a last minute decision to go and see a gig in a local city as we spotted some reasonably priced seated hospitality tickets. It was absolutely brilliant and I am glad we went but it has been a thief of time because of the knock on tiredness. The good news is that I did enjoy it, and didn't panic at the sheer number of people which bodes well for the next big trip later this week. This one is standing which could be interesting.
MrL had the cheap veg this morning so a slight stock up which is great as long as I actually use them. I was gifted a kilo pack of Paneer so I need to think what to do with that at some point, plus I picked up a couple of half price joints in a triumph of 'ooh bargain' over the practicality of freezer space and what we actually eat now.
Easter at the weekend. No the house will not be on the market.

I make this curry quite often @redofromstart when I have paneer, its very quick and I just use whatever curry paste is lurking. He includes red wine vinegar as well which is not on the ingredient list.

Thank you greenbee, teapot2 and beanie lou.
I have mostly been away for the last few days. The standing gig was excellent, wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Just goes to show that sometimes you need to push through the fear.
I also met my parents at a plant fair, and they very kindly bought me my favourite ever Daphne (Jaqueline Postill) as I will not be able to take mine with me when I move. As an added bonus I came home to mine in full flower and scent.
Finally a day at home today and I have cracked on with the spring garden tidy, and sorted the lawnmower which is now working properly thanks to the new filter and spark plug. Green waste bins filled and out ready for collection tomorrow before I start all over again.

Glad you enjoyed the gig 😊 I've had a pottering day in the garden too - also got the lawnmower out for the first time this year. Fortunately mine didn't need spark plugs 😬

The gig was so good @Cheery_Daff that I agreed to another one in a few weeks, totally converted to standing. It helped that the first one (Gorillaz) was seated so I could see what standing looked like which helped with the 'fear', and the second was standing in a smaller venue (Richard Ashcroft). The next one is small venue but high energy music so that should be interesting.
Lots of garden work going on while there is the opportunity, 'do it now before I regret leaving it and the weeds get established' logic. The house is a tip but that mess will still be there later sadly.
Foodwise - I have actually remembered to get some prawns out to defrost for later, and ate the last of the cheap beef joint that I pot roasted in the instant pot. I have a whole chicken that I want to marinade later for eating tomorrow but must also check the use by date on the leg of lamb as I doubt I can fit it in the freezer which may in turn dictate what we eat tomorrow. I made the first leg into a really good curry.
Health - the tablets caused some unwelcome side effects (inc. some weight gain - I was outraged!) so I have stopped those and am back to trying to control it through diet and exercise.
Finances - the current increase are painful, hard to do anything about it other than as ever keep an eye on waste. I did swap my CT to 12 months rather than 10 as that helps with cash flow.
Decluttering - focus is on the garden at the moment. I at least enjoy that, especially with my headphones on.
