Just catching up and am so admiring of all you are doing. I love the thought of new windows: all that light and no drafts has to be a good thing. I will be cheering you on with this year's goals. 😊

Full of admiration for you @redofromstart ! You are more resilient than you think. Gentle steps love Humdinger xx

Lots of very realistic goals that give you a chance to get what you want out of this. Small steps! Would echo the thought about expanding your job thoughts outside your chosen field to something gentler as well.

Slightly nailed to the floor currently by a fibro flare which has made my hands rather useless. I have even had to switch to a smaller mug which is an outrage in itself. I've had three days in a row of lifting nothing heaver than a cup of tea, and avoiding using my thumbs to give it all a chance to heal. I do now have a wrist/thumb support to see if that will help but must not over use it or use medication to mask the problem.
Time for me - a thorough dermaplaning facial and a couple of skin tags removed, the dental hygienist equivalent of a facial. Painful but effective.
House - some progress on the kitchen, including temporarily removing the wall cabinet to allow the wall to dry out. This meant some more decluttering as I rehomed lots of things along the way.
Little Adventures for February - booked to see a film on Saturday, first time I have been to see a film as an adult rather than escorting children in at least 23 years. A short overnight trip to a Northern city booked for my birthday. Lots to look forward to.
Health and well being - taken a bit of a hit due to the flare as I have had had no choice but to move less. Mixed bag on eating. Overall a must try harder for this.
Garden - my snowdrops are in full bloom now, and I can see a solid section of them from my desk which makes me happy. I need to rehome some to friends in the next few weeks to make sure I can have some back once I have moved. They originally came from my parents woodland garden as a trayful when I first moved here, and I now have thousands, despite having shared the bounty with others many times over the years.

I'm sorry to hear about the fibro flare. I hope normal mug lifting capabilities return ASAP! 😉
I have snow drops in random places in the garden and I am determined that this will be the year I lift in the green, split and spread around a bit more. Some at the edge of the pond would look pretty I think.
What film are you going to see? Mr KK and I were talking about maybe going out to film together once per month as we do NOTHING together other than some kind of chores related things … I don't expect chocolates and roses etc. but something other than drudge can only be a god thing I think.
The eating is a constant struggle I am finding atm. Is there one small change that you could start now and sustain? I'm looking at changing salad dressings from being olive oil based to hummus or yogurt for example.

I'm sorry to hear your fibro has flared. The snowdrops sound lovely: they always bring me joy as a promise of spring.

Good suggestions, thanks KK - I will have a think about a small change. The film is the Jeff Buckley biopic at the local art cinema. Not entirely my taste but I am trying to say 'yes' more than I say 'No' when I am asked to do things. Must remember to actually listen to his 'Grace' album this week, the only song I know well from it is Hallelujah, and even that is from the many covers done since.
I have committed to do something every month, so currently have Feb, Mar, Apr, Jun (5! - what was I thinking - and three of those are in the same week), Aug, Sep, and Oct things booked. Clearly kidnapped by aliens.
The list of things I have agreed to try but have yet to book includes an immersive art gallery, some form of opera (I quite like the minions singing Gilbert and Sullivan - does that count?), ballet, live classical music and a play. Absolutely pushing out of my comfort zone.

Re. the food - I find it hard when I get out of good eating habits to get back, but what I eat definitely makes a difference to my symptoms. Tracking the data shows I'm much better after only two weeks of getting back on track.
The redo snowdrops here are starting to show their heads (some of them struggling as I didn't finish scything the orchard last year), and there are masses coming up in the flowerbeds (which isn't where I want them) which I plant to lift, divide, and relocate when they are over.
