Yes but f0xh0les I know all the ones NOT to use!
Greenbee I typed it and then thought of your not a project purchase. No fixed plans, other than vaguely wanting to be closer to a coast rather than the land locked mid point of the current house and not within earshot of a motorway. I want time to do things I want to do, and not to have to work until I'm 70 to fund a project. Smaller garden and maybe a new build. Depends a lot on what my fellow residents decide to do, neither have any particular local reasons to stay. If I could wave a magic wand, somewhere where I actually know people would be good so I'm not building a new life from scratch. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. If you find that magic wand please can I borrow it afterwards?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!6 -
Glad the house improvements are going well. Lovely description of the view to your garden.redofromstart said:
First snowdrops are out, and lots of other lovely winter flowering things which is always a joy. Just from my desk window I can see winter honeysuckle, a desdemonda rose, a daphne, my huge witch hazel and some hellebore. It isn't currently raining so I might just head outside for an hour and see if I can fill a garden waste bin ready for collection tomorrow. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hey @redofromstart, your description sounds lush, a bit like where I live now. Its a pretty sleepy town (sometimes a bit too sleepy!) on East Yorkshire Coast but has beaches and long cliff walks and no motorway close by. No sea view sadly, but little terrace cottage with a small garden. Ample for my needs. Just needs a bit of updating and colour on the walls which will be happening over a long period of time.
