Oh redo that is a lovely blanket pattern. I'm trying to remember which of her other patterns I am aware of - as I knew the name when I read it....... 🤔Jana from Finnish knitting stories has just finished a blanket with chunky norwegian wool, and it really looks like something you'd buy from a very swish home-store.
I'm glad you've secured help from an impartial source - and as greenbee points out, it isn't all about agreeing with everything you say or do, it's the ability to see the whole picture and help you all move towards living a future reality. History and memories can sit quite comfortably in a future reality.

It must be so frustrating to build up some momentum and then have to stop due to fibro… glad you have a fun distraction to allow you to rest today 😊
I’m sorry about the politics but you can’t live in the past and if the right decision for you is to clear, sell up and move on, then that should be accepted by all around you as coming from a place of care for you … The help is help, whether controversial to others or not. They could always step up instead … 😉
The eating … Gonna give you a bit of a hard time here as this does need sorting … Could you get some meal boxes in, are there any relatively easy, picky meals you could plan and buy for, are there any good restaurants or cafes locally you could go to once a week or so, just so *someone else* cooks for you (always a big factor for me)?KKAs at 15.01.26:

- Redo - go you. Getting stuff done can be hard, you've found a process that works for your situation. I think that's great.

The one out of the pink book? Aimee's book? Kudos to you for knitting full garments, but doubley so if it's that one - I couldn't even understand how the neon yarn formed the stitch for that one. Jana has a wonderful sense of humour, and is such a prolific knitter - although it amazes me she doesn't like sock knitting.northAthenian said:

Perhaps time to take a step back and frame in the bigger picture? It sounds like you could be experiencing the wild energy that comes from being held back in some area for a long time then it suddenly being released. Pressure cooker effect.

yes! on sleeves now, but body takes 40 min a row for the funky stitch, so i have to be in the mood to pick it up, and it's too awkward now to take out & aboot so only a home knit until it's done!Greying_Pilgrim said:

WOW - I'm seriously impressed northAthenian - wasn't that the one Jana had problems with, and hers sat in the naughty corner for a while? I'm thinking she had to rip out and do a different size or something? There was an issue with the size shown and the model size wearing it iirc. And all the ends to weave in........... But a stunning bit of knitwear, no doubt.
I keep meaning to get more ambitious about taking my knitting out and around - but I'm talking about beanies and socks - on circular needles, and for sure not at the heels or toes stage! 🤣
Sorry for the thread-hijack with yarny goodness redo - hope you're having a wonderful time with your chum.
