I know this is a money saving site but are people determined to make the process of flying out on holiday as miserable as possible?
Begging for a free cup of water on a four hour flight to the sun, what suggestions are going to be next, "just drink your own spit"?
Have a glass of wine on the flight and dont be cheap

Or just buy your own bottled water or fill your own bottle from one of the free water dispensers.la531983 said:I know this is a money saving site but are people determined to make the process of flying out on holiday as miserable as possible?

We're not all miseries on here.
Some people can enjoy themselves without having to drink alcohol.
LOL.
I like a drink on the plane. 🍷
But I can understand that some people don't.
Can't you?2 -
Well yes but by the same token if im going on a holiday im not scrambling around trying to fill a water bottle for free, or taking my own sandwiches, having spent a few thousand on the holiday to begin with and wanting to enjoy myself.Pollycat said:

If you have you own food, don’t they take it off you at security?pattycake said:We use Tui at least 4 times a year from Manchester airport. There’s nothing free onboard the aircraft! We take empty refillable bottles (which keep the water cold) and there’s stations at the airport outside all the loos airside which you can get water for free.
We never pre book food. Depending on the time of day, I make my own sandwiches to eat either at the airport or onboard. Alternatively, we quite like the toasties from Tui. Around a £5 I think. All drinks, hot, cold or alcoholic are chargeable.
i find the meal deals either from WHS or Boots far inferior to my own sandwiches and cheaper to make my own too.Our flights are to the Canaries so considered short haul. Usually around the 4 hour mark.I use a Kindle to read, so that saves space in my bag. People can have a great time without drinking.
Some people save for ages to afford a holiday.
They cut back on what they see as unnecessary expense such as buying water and food from departure shops and on the airline.
Just accept that not everybody is like you.

Why do you think that?Abbafan1972 said:

Totally incorrect.

This is a good point. Plus the inflated prices can be very off putting.Pollycat said:

I've flown regularly the last 15 years and the only time I've had alcohol was on a homeward flight from Turkey - my friend and I were celebrating we actually made the flight after the transfer company completely botched our pick up from the hotel.0
