What's available on Tui flights?

We didn't pre-book food and found some options had sold out on previous flights, but this might be less of an issue earlier in the day, not sure. The meals we did get were not bad for being done in an aircraft galley.
We took our own water as it was unclear if we would get free water. WHSmiths water was extortionate and we found a vending machine on the way to the gate that was cheaper.
There wasn't any kind of entertainment, so taking our own books, magazines and devices was a must.0 -
Wasn't being secretive - had to start doing my packing!! Won't have enough time in the morning as we get picked up at 11 or something.
Bournemouth to Crete. So short haul. I was going to buy some M&S sandwiches and I still have the option of making some this evening. Maybe do some boiled eggs to peel when we're onboard (don't worry, I wouldn't). I do have some muesli bars and madeleines in my bag for a sugar boost for the diabetic. I presume if I told them that a glass of water was required to take medication they'd be obliged to give us something.
I'm taking the cheap headphones we got from our last flight. They weigh nothing so aren't a problem to pack.
It's just a bit of a different experience for me/us. I have been flying long haul at least once a year but haven't had a short flight for a very very long time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Pointless taking headphones as Bournemouth doesnt have any TUI Dreamliners. Two TUI planes based there and both are narrow body 737s, therefore no entertainment.1

Download music or podcasts to your phone and play them offline on flight mode. Or just download an ebook. Remember your earbuds so as not to disturb your fellow passengers. Enjoy your holiday 😀1

Most streaming services - we use netflix - let you download films to view offline. I have an old ipad, which hasn't been updated for ages, but which has a very good screen and lets me watch films.
Noise cancelling headphones make a huge difference on planes. I rarely use the noise cancelling function, but wouldn't be without them on flights now.
Meals - we often have to fly from a regional airport to a hub, and allow enough time to catch the second flight. With several hours waiting in the terminal we usually have a meal there and then don't eat on short haul flights. We will have coffee or soft drinks, but that doesn't break the bank.
Finally - as others have said, an empty water bottle can be filled up from a water station once through security.

I now treat flying short haul as I would a train journey and take anything I need on board with me.
Food I rarely bother as I eat before the flight, drink - a refillable water bottle, entertainment is phone and downloaded podcast or videos.

Hope you had a smooth journey and enjoy your hols @Brie
I've just flown TUI from Birmingham to Corfu - I had the cheese and ham toastie with a cuppa and a small tub of Pringles as a meal deal on board which cost £9.50. The toastie on its own was £5.85 and the tea is £3.40.
In Brum airport the big Boots in the departure lounge sadly closed last year. The WH Smiths there now charges £6.99 for a meal deal which boggled my mind as the Boots meal deal was under a fiver IIRC.
Apparently on TUI flights more than 3.5 hours you can pre order meals but I don't know how rigid this is as I'm sure some people bought the breakfast pre order meal.
There was an entertainment QR code on all the seat backs but when I scanned it the TUI network just wouldn't show on my WiFi options. I did ask an attendant but they didn't know why it wasn't working. I suspect it may just be for long haul flights only.1 -
We flew with them to Greece last week. They supposedly have free Wi-Fi but it is terrible. Wouldn't connect at all for us. If you have Netflix or Prime etc then download content beforehand. That's what I did.0

I would think that they would offer to sell you a bottle. There is no obligation to provide free water due to your oversight
