Hi Mumoftwo, I too have booked to go to Waterside at Easter. I think you'll find this park isn't run by Park Resorts. It's a Park Holidays site which is a different company. Park Resorts do have a site called Waterside but it is in Essex.

I ummed and aahed about wether to book at Waterside or Haven Devon Cliffs, where we stayed on our last Sun Holiday and loved. I went with Waterside after finding several pictures online. The setting looks beautiful and you are really near to Paignton. I have found some decent reviews online and the Paignton Steam Railway runs through the park which is a nice touch!

The only thing I am hesitant about is how good the caravan will be. We have been spoilt on all our Haven Sun Holidays with some lovely caravans but we aren't at all fussy (our accommodation tends to be just a base) However a bad experience at Pontins Brean Sands makes me a little nervous these days! I have found bad reviews about the state of the chalets at Waterside's sister park nearby, but I have only found good reviews of the caravans at Waterside, so fingers crossed!

As for the swimming pool, there is only an outdoor pool, but Quaywest Waterworld is only a hop skip and a jump away.

To be honest, the lack of reviews is probably a good thing, people do tend to write a review when they have had a bad experience rather than a good one! Personally, I think we have made a good choice and am already getting very excited .... much to my boyfriends annoyance!! :j
