I looked at the site on the Sun website and it said only those over 15 had to pay for entertainment passes ... hope they dont charge me for the 2 little ones!

  • Has anyone else not received an email confirmation? I booked at 11am yesterday morning and printed off the confirmation screen and booking reference, but everyone else seems to have had an email. I've checked my Spam Folder, but nothing. Should I panic?!

Has anyone been to Haven Doniford Bay, have been to Devon Cliffs and had a great time (tones the old legs a treat ,up and down the hill) also went to Weymouth Bay, Seaview Weymouth but favourite was Rockley Park couldnt get it this time though so hoping Doniford Bay is ok!!

Really looking forward to going away even though its not til June.

We never have sheets etc as its cheaper to take your own, bought cheap set and duvet cover from Primark £6.00 in the sale, and just keep them for hols.

Last Easter we got Doniford as our choice of sun hol. It is OK and I always upgrade to a mid range caravan, which was clean and good size for four. Site seemed to have been updated and pool and club areas were OK. Yes I also looked at some reviews and they worried me a little, but it was not that bad when we went.
Off to Warmwell this Easter, has anyone been?

This year the Haven passes seem to have gone up in price - do you all agree? I have decided to give Parkdean a try instead. Does anyone know if there is much availability on the Isle of Wight for Easter still for my sis to book her sun hol?
  • We went to Doniford last September with the Sun & had a wonderful time,so don't be put off by the reviews!

We stayed in a 3 bed caravan & found out at the end of the stay that we had been upgraded - thought it was very good for basic! I did hire linen which was faded but spotlessly clean & the last time I've slept on ironed sheets! I noticed that one of the cupboard doors wasn't very well secured, & it was fixed within 45 minutes!

Like many "holiday parks" I guess the site is rather dated, but I found everywhere to be clean & all the staff helpful & friendly. I didn't eat there much as the food was quite expensive & not a huge choice was available - but I think that is to be expected. Lots of people were eating there though, & I didn't hear any complaints. Pool is basic (no flumes etc.) but clean & warm & we went every day. You will need entertainment passes to get into the pool & amusement arcade - we were checked several times so I wouldn't risk it.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that all the childrens extras like bouncy castles, etc. were charged at £1 a go, which soon mounts up. There is a bit of extra pressure to buy 'photos & character "stuff" but my kids are old enough to understand why I don't buy everything! The play areas are big & free.

Didn't see any lager louts at all! Everyone appeared to be having a great time - we were very lucky with the weather which helps!

The beach is windy & pebbley but great to walk along, & the surrounding area is beautiful. If you have kids then Tropiquaria is very near & well worth a visit IMHO.

We're going back this May & the kids are delighted...:j
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D
