has anybody elses kids easter holidays changed this year.mine have.they only get good fri and easter monday off, then bak at school for 2 weeks then break up for a fortnight:confused:

I think all schools have - I work in a school, and both of my children's schools have changed as well. I think it makes more sense because the date Easter falls on changes each year, sometimes it meant a really long half term one side of it. This way the terms are more evenly spread - and we get an extra 2 days off when Easter does not fall within the 2 week break!

Can I not just bring my own??

Have you been there?? I assume you have if you know it's windy! Any top tips??

    Thanks

Don't know if you can bring your own. You can ask them when they write to you. Top tips? It doesn't have a huge amount of things to do. Visit Africa Alive near by (Suffolk Wildlife Park), Pleasurewood Hills (just the other side of Lowestoft - A12 will get you there). Yarmouth's about 15 miles further up the A12. The chippy at Kessingland Beach is crap - go to the chippy in Kessingland - better food and a lot cheaper. There's a Morrisons near by in Lowestoft, too (about 5 minutes up the A12).
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

  • Same here in Essex

Kids break up on Fri 28th March, go back on Monday 14th April.

Much better that way, and for once I have managed to book a holiday actually falling within the school holidays. (rather than pick a nearby park, getting there late on a Friday, and returning late on a Sunday ready for school on the Monday)
