"Sports world" :D funny thing is all stores that are already sports world are "closing down" too (or is it just clearance? I forget)
  • Those shops have been 'closing down' ever since they opened so they won't be closing any time soon. This means we can all still go in there stand around for half an hour trying to find a shop assistant to get you some shoes only for the rat-faced youth to claim 'We have got them in a 7 and a 12' when you ask for a size 9.

    yeah, it's a classy establishment isn't it?
  • I believe its actually just changing its name (for tax purpaces again). Around 10 years ago it was called 'Sport & Ski' and then it changed to 'Sport & Soccer@ now i believe its going to be /Sports World'. Thats what ive just been told in my local branch (milton keynes) anyway. I was also told that it has been bought jointly by an american company and a british company but they couldnt agree on the name...hence the change. Anyway i guess we shall have to just wait and see. GREAT SALE ON THOUGH!!!
  • Picked up a nice squash raquet the other day from them (Bristol Broadmead): Dunlop Black Max super lightweight carbon jobbie.

    Down to £25 from £90!

Didn't need it, but it was a bargain.

been to my local soccer sport and there was a queue of people trying to return things but were told that no returns policy just credit notes unless product is faulty
  • Went to the one at Fort Shopping Centre in Brum today, got a pair of Lonsdale Trainers for £22 reduced from £54 and a pair of Diadora tracksuit bottoms for a fiver reduced from £19

Should both come in handy when I start back at the Gym :)

Got to say though it is rammed with clothes, some of questionable quality, but a few nice things. Shame that most of the large sized items have already gone leving mediums and XL's
  • Visited Sports Soccer today, Livingston branches and they have new replica kits both adult and youths at half price, these include this seasons recently released kits for Chelsea (home and away), Newcastle Utd. Liverpool, Scotland, Ireland, and England also some more, unfortunately not the Nike kits.
    Adult tops at £19.99 Kids at £14.99, shorts at £9.99 & £8.99

All the one's that I have seen have got for re-branding but there doesn't seem to be any difference in the prices since May/June! What's the "sale" in that then?
