Evening all. I'm still here but haven't had much to post about. It's DD's 49th birthday today and she's somewhere on Greece, on a sailing boat. Lucky her.
Rosie and I went out for our walk this morning before the rain came - a gentle but persistent soaking for the garden, which is already looking a lot happier. But I'm feeling an autumn chill in the air.
I am still eating the curtains elephant a bit at a time. They will hopefully get finished next week, however tomorrow I need to do some dusting and hoovering all through the house.
Will see you on next week's new thread, if not before xxx

Morning all. Wordle in five.
Hope you're all ok this morning. I'm up exceptionally early for a Sunday as Poppet weed on our bed. She has never done anything like that before. So today's job will be sorting that out. Fortunately the forecast is dry.
Other than that I need to hoover and mop floors and we're going to see DS and his family this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all xx
I was up at 7 and set the WM swishing towels and tea towels. Completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, only managed one line in Connections, and I'm ready for another brew.
Had a good day yesterday: got the Saturdailies done, met my new gardener and we discussed what needs doing (that's a weight off my shoulders), went into town with J, then called to see Pops, before cabining in for the evening with Joey.
Plans for today include: pegging out the washing and then bringing it in before I go out to visit H at 1.30 because rain is forecast this afti; ordering my repeat prescription, writing my September Challenge List... doing something every day, even on a work day, will MAD. Do we have a name for the Challenge?
Going to get dressed before I make brew 2, then I can peg out without frightening the neighbours. 😊
Have a good day.

morning all
went carbooting yesterday with ds, dil and her fiend, we took two cars and set up next to each other. They had the lions share of stuff to sell, i borrowed a folding table from work and they made in excess of £300. my sales were much lower but i did get rid of stuff so i was happy. came home, showered then went to theirs for a takeaway and we played cards against humanity. i came 2nd.
did get towels line dried before the rain came.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Dailies done ,Poppet walked, banking checked. Whole house hoovered, swept and mopped. Parcel packed up ready to send. Also hoovered our mattress. Fortunately after Poppets accident, the mattress protector did its job. Protector and duvet now washed, dried and back on the bed. So pleased it has been sunny and windy this morning.
Next job is sweeping the patio.Spend less now, work less later.5 -

Afternoon all. Dry sunny and breezy for the first half of the morning and then the rain appeared. Pouring now and we just had thunder. Luckily I didn't do washing today but I'll have to do a load tomorrow whatever the weather. We went for a walk earlier and saw several of the dogs I say hello to on my wanders. I'm not a fan of walking but I love dogs so that makes it doable for me.Sunday lunch made, eaten and cleared away. Not much to report. Hope you're all well x4

Hi ya,
I always have such good intentions to do lots during the week but end up getting distracted or run out of energy.
Today I've been doing more decluttering. Another carrier of unread books ready for the charity shop, along with a carrier of unopened crafts that I know I'll never actually do.
I have also discovered how many notebooks and pads I have, very shocking. I won't be getting rid of them cos now I know where they are I can use them instead of buying more.
This all comes from previously being a supervisor at a certain high street store.
I also went through the under bed drawer and found stuff that I'd long forgotten about so that's all been thrown too.
I've also written a big job to do list for each room which I hope to slowly work through.
I've had a couple of video calls from DD2 with her saying how she felt rough so I'm guessing that's her subtle way of saying she won't be coming over tomorrow to help me with my Grandson.
I'm now going to have a cold drink and start working through folders of hand written or "out for magazines" recipes and hoping to condense 3 folders to 1.

Latest box from mum's gone through and separated into photographs/other stuff. My sister is going to go through the photos. I've now got old envelopes (very old) listed on ebay and old postcards too.
I now need to gather up the photos ready to take tomorrow.
Lots of washing line dried.
My work phone just rang...ignored it.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Phew what a weekend! Volunteering, shopping, picking DS2 from the station, family party, trip to the seaside, and finally home and collapsed on the sofa.
Laundry is up to date, house is tidy. I should probably run the hoover around before bed.
I also need to get bags packed and lunch sorted for work tomorrow, I am getting into a terrible habit of leaving it until morning and rushing which then gets me into a flap.6
