Afternoon All,
I did my early morning wake up calls to DD2. I'm still doing these even though she's a "26 year old independent woman"
I've been to the doctors surgery to argue with the reception manager about why the meds requested by my consultant and should have been put on my repeat prescription weren't included in the meds I picked up on Saturday.
I then got the bus to my appointment at the job centre, popping in to see DD2 at the charity shop she volunteer's at on the way.
I've also been to the police office to report some strange text messages I've been receiving and got advice on what to do if it continues.
After my job centre appointment I came home to do 2 loads of washing and 1 load in the DW. The WM and DW have been scrubbed and both on cleaning cycles.
Over the weekend I've also sorted out a carrier of reading books and one of recipe books ready for the charity shop. I'm also half way through boxing up box 2 of bric-a-brac.
I know I still have lots to do but I'm happy with what I've done.

Ooh Round how about a September challenge to declutter/reorganise? Anyone else fancy that? A sort of 30 day hot-spot challenge? I could start with the box of old football club paperwork under DHs desk.
Well done on reporting the texts WW.Interesting day at the paid stuff. I left my laptop bag at home, I really can't believe I did that. Thankfully I was able to borrow a laptop as most of my work is on the cloud. The day got better after a few moments of feeling a bit stupid.
I have dusted and hoovered LR and cleaned the kitchen properly. And now to bed.7 -

Got up rather reluctantly after a very disturbed and restless night, but I had a hair appointment booked followed by physio so couldn't lie in. To my surprise I'm not stiff after the zumbathon so that is good. A couple of relatives who were having trouble with the 'donation' page (breast cancer) have reported success, which is good and I look forward to the zumba intructor reporting back on how much money was raised.
Physio agrees progress has been made on shoulder but there is still one area of muscle spasm/tightness which she felt obliged to stick her fingers in (whimper).
Unpaid stuff was ok, just archiving.
Watered greenhouse as the promised rain comprised just a few spots when we need a monsoon.
Had a lovely email and photos from Mum's care home as they have finished making the 'memory box' frame to go outside her door incorporating the photos I had chosen with Mum. That cheered me up as DB visited her this morning and she mainly dozed (probably tired after the photo session with the activities lady).
Not much other flying done, used a few more of the plums for pudding (did I say, SIL brought me 15kg?). A bit of minor tidying.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Morning all,
My list for today
Go over to the stables and check on the horse
Laundry x 1 load
Attend uni lectures
Do paid stuff
HHI
Remove the rubbish from the side of the bed
Give DH assistance to do the pipe work in the kitchen, he's off work today so going to try and sort the pipes for DW
Take DD over to the stables so she can ride her horse and do the required tasks
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday. Hugs to those who need/want them.

Morning all,
Great idea, YL. I really need something to kick me into action.
Yesterday just slipped through my fingers. I spent most of the afternoon breaking the back of my tax return. DH went to the allotment and brought back another carrier bag of beans and another of plums. Mr M order just done for more baking and preserving supplies, as I seem to be getting through them at a rate of knots, helped by DD being in “baking mode”. I honestly cannot remember what I did yesterday morning, beyond run an errand.
This morning I have placed the Mr M order for delivery tomorrow, and the bedding is just finishing in the wm. Must remember to remake the bed. DH is out at a couple of appointments, DD is away for a couple of days, so I have no excuse not to put some effort into flying this morning, before it is back to deciding what to do with the produce. Some plums will go to NDN. I made a hedgerow ketchup for the first time with blackberries, haws and elderberries. Very tasty, so I need to use up the rest of the foraged fruits and make another jar.5 -

Morning all. An hour ago I rang my friend F, who is currently on holiday near Cardiff, and she said they had got heavy rain. Some of it has just reached us - though not as heavy as I should like! However, Rosie is out for her walk with L so it's a good thing that as yet there's none of the thunder that the weatherfolk are predicting for the rest of the day.
Yesterday I did the shopping (though I forgot to buy more sugar for the jam making), put it all away, then still had enough strength to pick and freeze the beans and pick the ripe tomatoes. I had bought the 3 inch header tape, so cut the lining for the curtains (the stretching wrecked my shoulder, so I never got round to doing any of the sewing together) and then carried the spare fabric upstairs. Rosie had her usual walk up the lane. So far this morning I have done a PUPA everywhere, S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom, disposed of dead flowers, phoned two friends and made plans to visit one of them, emptied the shredder bag and the kitchen compost bin just as the rain started here (it appears to have eased off again now), found a couple of small items for the bin/CS, and discovered that the "spare" fabric that I had carried upstairs was actually one of the part-made curtains, so I had to carry it down again and find the real spare - which is destined to become cushion covers and/or shopping bags for the stall.
DH has just made me a cup of coffee so I will drink that before settling down to an hour or so of sewing. Maybe I can get DH to agree to a few days away with Rosie at the beginning of October, in the week when L the dog walker is on holiday.
Enjoy the cooler day xxx2 -
Morning all. Absolutely pouring with rain here so the garden is smiling
I did a small washload which had an hour out before the rain came and it's on the airer now.
Not much going on here, just the normal meals and washing up and tidying up. I wipe round the kitchen at least once a day after cooking so it never gets too bad.Tuna steak for lunchNot a favourite! I just keep telling myself it's good for me, as I keep chewing....3 -

I'll have a ponder on what to include.
