YNAB robber needs help to execute the plan

If you don't already have meerkat worth considering. I bought insurance for a day trip to Newcastle for about a pound and that means 25% off that blue establishment. Batista drinks and pastries so not eg lemonade and a sandwich

Ooh thanks Peb.
No spending today and some good news that they might have found a suitable carer for Monday. My father was delighted with his watch and is going to reimburse me which I wasn't expecting so that's good news.

Well it has been a very eventful day. I collected my father's new live-in carer from Luton airport this morning and have then had a hectic day ferrying people around. I am delighted that I am in a nearby hotel for 3 nights and don't have to drive any more until tomorrow morning.
Money wise it was a spendy one. Necessary so that's fine. Coffees and sandwiches all round, discounted room rate… Don't care. Everyone is where they need to be and we will deal with tomorrow when it comes.
Sleep well everyone.

Well done you. That is a big day, and coffees and sarnies and somewhere to safely get to and kip absolutely necessary. Sleep well

Well it's been a full on week. My father did really well getting around to visit Little Sis this morning. We are both tired now. His carer is not getting much sleep so I'm a bit worried about her but it's early days.
The curved ball today is they wanted to plan Little Sis discharge in today's MDT. Initial plan is a weekly home visit without me, and an overnight stay some time next week. It sounds like she could be home the week after next. I'm sure it's good news but caught me off balance this week.
So, I am going to be home tomorrow afternoon and evening and have some me time and then back for the day on Friday. Day off Saturday and then everyone for Sunday Lunch. I got an early night and am sleeping well but feeling totally exhausted. I guess having the carer is a bit relief in a way although it's still pretty stressful and there is a lot she doesn't know or needs help with. I'm doing really well at supporting her and getting what she needs. I'm dreading when the bill hits my father to pay for it. He knows in theory but the reality may be a bit of a shock.
Tomorrow the plan is to discuss his LPA and if he is amendable my friend will come on Monday. Friday is the audiologist. Fingers crossed these huge things are getting progress at least.

Back home after a spendy week. Next week I want to pick up on this and keep my cards locked away.
No house news but delighted to hear yesterday OH has a 3 month extension being arranged. It's flown by. The fence guy is coming next weekend so that will be a good job to get sorted. Another first viewimg Monday.
In family news the carer and my father seem to be doing ok. The hospital are talking about Little Sis spending a night at home but I've suggested she wait until carer is sleeping through the night ok. I feel somewhat in the eye of the storm before the next disasters strike so I want to enjoy my Saturday. First fanily Sunday lunch tomorrow since April.

good news for OH's contract extension.
This week I listened to a BBC Woman's Hour podcast about the pressures of caring for elderly parents. I was nodding my head throughout! One of the coping tactics is setting boundaries so it's good that you are taking snippets of time for your own life. There's a book that I'm going to try and get from the library "I'm your daughter not your carer"

Thanks Blackcats, we are both really relieved about him having another 3 months. He has been looking at travel plans in South America next year and I think that a long trip away might be a good way to reset everything. In the short-term the new Live-in carer gives me an opportunity for me to reset things, I have been having to be cleaner, chauffeur, laundry and ironing, companionship and everything to two people. Now in theory my father has someone totally responsible for everything except chauffeur and the more complicated house jobs. And I have been careful about what I do for Little Sis as she is very quick to decide she needs support and help and can't do things on her own. I am really pleased the hospital are expecting her to go home once a week on her own as there is a real danger of her trying to make me responsible for helping her with her life.I think one of the things I want to ensure she and my father sort out together is food shopping but I made that happen by online deliveries last week as it was his first week home.
I've had a look but my library doesn't have a copy of that book, it sounds just what I need too! Funny how I just bought my father the book he wanted without thinking about it but don't often do the same for myself. :)
A friend recommended The Selfish Pig's Guide to Caring a few years ago and I might give that a second read.

The house looked pretty good for the viewing yesterday considering we'd both left my 8:15. OH has nothing in writing for his contract extension but is going in today anyway. I hope that gets sorted today
Yesterday I'd collected Little Sis from hospital and we had a tyre blow out on the motorway. Scary stuff! There was no hard shoulder next to us but I managed to get the car a bit further at a safer place to stop where the hard shoulder was. Now I know how the F1 drivers feel limping round to the pits. Clambering over the armature to wait behind the safety barrier was harder than it looks. Thankfully the yellow van man turned up about half an hour later. OH's car now has two new rear tyres so I'm really hoping the MOT goes well this morning.
Only essential grocery shopping yesterday for family so they are set up for the week if I can't visit.
The fencer has posponed which I guess is kind of money-saving but I was really looking forward to that being sorted.
My Vinted trousers turned up and they are an odd shape and colour but for £4 a bargain and there is no sign of cooler weather so I need a few more summer clothes.
