I've just realised that my phone can't receive or send pictures with SMS messages. I've followed these instructions but get stuck at this step.
https://devicehelp.lebara.co.uk/motorola/moto-g7-power-android-9-0/messaging/set-up-your-phone-for-picture-messaging/
it says
'access point name settings are not available for this user.'
I'm with Lebara and have plenty of data, unlimited sms etc left.

You do know that it will cost you 45p a message (if you get it working)?1

I assumed it was free. Email is far easier and better anyway.0

Also free and easier are the common messaging services (Whatsapp, Messenger),2 -
For a matter of interest is there a technical solution to this problem other than using a different messaging service? Problem is of course is that the receiver might not have Whatsapp etc.
Incidentally, I can't view picture attachments from other people either.0 -
Try using this app - My Tech Suite – Add APN Settings and Access Hidden Network Settings1

Hi @peter021072 take a look at this discussion about APN settings

It's about roaming but it shows the MMS settings.
Maybe these will help too?

Mrs Heed's phone ( Samsung, android, lebara ) seems to now have been auto set for RCS messaging.Does that make any difference ?0

Having RCS on will default "messaging" (aka SMS) to using RCS messages (uses internet) IF the recipient also has RSC on. Attached photos would be delivered free.
If the recipient has RCS off (or doesn't have RCS installed) then the message uses SMS/MMS (uses mobile network). Any attached photo(s) would attract the MMS premium.
You can probably see why you might be best using Whatsapp or Messenger to share photos.
Couple of caveats, think this only applies if you use the Google Messages app, there's also a Samsung Messages app. Samsung phones get supplied with both and it ain't obvious which one is which (only one can be the phone's default "messaging" app.
Can't remember if there is now operability between Android phones using RCS and iPhones.0 -
Samsung Messages has been deprecated

RIP Samsung Messages. Always annoyed me that Samsung devices had two Messages apps installed, two Calendar apps, two Calculator apps, two Web browsers, two photos apps, etc. I defected to Pixel.
On Apple, yes Apple rolled over and made iMessage work with RCS.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
