I have a Lebara UK SIM and am using this in a Samsung Galaxy S23+ for the first time.   I've received conflicting APN setup instructions from Lebara Support via phone and on their website.  I just want to ensure that roaming will work without any issues with my current settings below.

Please can Lebara UK users who know for certain that their own APN settings work for roaming, please comment on whether ALL the below settings are correct?   Many thanks.

  • Hi @ukaa I have no reason to think that those settings are wrong or may not work, but these are my APN settings and work perfectly:

    • Name: Lebara Internet
    • APN name: uk.lebara.mobi
    • Username: WAP
    • Password: WAP

Many thanks @dc_scotland much appreciated. So it would appear to be that as long as those four components are correctly entered, then all should be well roaming-wise.

As a point of interest, one of the Lebara UK Support peeps today advised additionally entering:
    MCC:   234
    MNC:     15
    Authentication type:  None
    APN type:  default

I guess you pays your money and takes your choice!

MCC is mobile country code. 234 is the UK

MNC is mobile network code. 15 is one of the codes assigned to Vodafone. (The host network for Lebara)

In the APN, these are included to specify your home network. The vast majority of phones around today will already have this information from your SIM but entering it won’t do any harm and in some cases might resolve roaming issues.
