When did you complete your switch, so how many days afterwards till you got your message?

Switch completed on the 14th, so the following day.1

Yeah I think I need to start it by the 28th, I’m guessing if I was a customer in the past I might have trouble even signing up for an account you think, I’m starting to think now if I even had an account in the past as I can’t remember, I actually think it might have been when I was a child, I guess I should sign up on the app and see how it does and just see if I get the bonus, suppose all it will cost me is a hard search which I’d like to avoid if it was completely possible if it’s all for nothing.s71hj said:
I'll know within the next fortnight but I guess that will be too late for you. The issue may be with getting the app to accept you as you'll have old "profiles". That was an issue a friendly staff member had to "get round" for us in branchtomxlisa said:
Anyone know if this is the case and have tried it as I think I had an account many years ago and might give this a try and open an account for the switch offer?.clairec666 said:It says "new customers only", but delving deep into the T&Cs, it looks like you might still be eligible if you previously had a current account with them but it's no longer open on the date this offer started. Provided you haven't previously received a switching bonus from them, of course.0 -
Has anyone that received the incentive not receive a message beforehand?
My husband opened his account on the App on the 21/07, joined Blue Rewards 03/08, initiated switch which completed 15/08 and funded £1500 on the 15/08. So met all the T&C's but hasn't received any message re the incentive.0 -
My husband finally got his message today, so a week after fulfilling the T&Cs.0

I’m guessing some people will have to pay at least the first £5 for the blue rewards unless you time it all correctly so you can cancel the blue rewards before it’s paid out?.0
-
That's what my husband did, he opened it on 21/07 but didn't activate Blue Rewards till the 3rd August, so the first £5 payment will be September. So if he receives the incentive before the end of August, he'll cancel it. Though it will be tight as only received his confirmation message yesterday.0
-
Yeah maybe I should have waited to activate the blue rewards but when I was following the steps it said to activate blue rewards before you do the account switch so that’s what I did but I’m sure it probably doesn’t matter, end of the day if it costs £5 it’s still a nice profit of £170 for very little work, I was thinking of cancelling blue rewards and doing it again after the 2nd which is when blue reward gets paid but that’ll probably mess the process up so isn’t worth it to save £5 I guess.youngretired said:That's what my husband did, he opened it on 21/07 but didn't activate Blue Rewards till the 3rd August, so the first £5 payment will be September. Is it possible for me to cancel blue rewards and then sign back up after the date they usually take payment for it or would that mess the switch incentive up?.tomxlisa said:

It might muck the switch incentive up, so I wouldn't chance it.
Husband received his incentive today, so 5 days after receiving his message.0
