I was aiming for one I avoided the garage thinking yes I will get a no spend day under my belt, then I had a message to say a potential lodger was visiting and it appears it is taking a long time to get here he is stuck in traffic from wherever he is coming from, I thought I best buy some tea and coffee and ended up spending £15 eak!Goal 1: Get a permenant job that sticks.
Goal 2: Aim 15 No spend days in January or above actual so far - 0
Goal 3: Get a lodger
Goal 4: Once goal 1 & 3 complete add 1K to the EF
Goal 5: Once goal 4 complete save for my own car as I do need one.1 -

It turned out that he didn't want tea/ coffee or biscuits in the end, so I could of had a no spend day. Ohh well. If he decides to lodge with me then it won't matter and if not i'll have provisions for the next person.Goal 1: Get a permenant job that sticks.

Hi Jay, I am trying to re-create my grans recipe, I have almost got it now, I just need to add more syrup. Recipe includes Golden syrup, Lemon juice, pastry and cornflakes. The first attempt I mistakenly added the flakes to the syrup and lemon mixture and all the cornflakes softened. I now have a crunch because I have poured the syrup over the flakes instead, however now there is not enough syrup. Yes it is sweet but Gran did such a good job of it when I was younger I really enjoyed it and wanted to recreate it - we no longer have the exact recipe sadly. Do you happen to know the quantities? Pastry base, then sprinkle some crushed weetabix or crushed shreaded wheat in it then fill with golden syrup and bake till the pastry is done. My dad really liked them, I thought they were OK - a bit sweet for me even as a child.Toodle-pip :hello:2
