I usually don't count necessities as a spend day like food or medicine unless I am frivolously buying.  Today I bought myself what is effectively a car booster seat for adults as I am too short to sit comfortably in DH's car.  When we go on slightly longer drives (or holiday) in his car, it really hurts my back as the lumber support digs into my middle back and forces me to continually arch.  I often sit on a coat or a blanket, which is a bit hit and miss.  Given we are driving 4 hours to holiday, I decided to fork out on a comfy seat for myself so I can be backache free.
Not planning on any other purchases, so do I count this as a NSD?  Need a quick show of hands :D
If it was me I would say keep it as a spend day because if every time we say we spent on things we needed we may have 31 no spend days in July! For example I need a bathroom cabinet, yet I would put this as spend day as I did! This makes you more thoughful of the days you spend and what you spend on, in my view. However I am not the be all and end all judge and others may feel differently. Also the fact that it has a medical need may well be classed as a medical essential in which case potentially you could count as No spend. I think @cathybird will have the last say.
Goal 1: Get a permenant job that sticks.
Goal 2: Aim 15 No spend days in January or above actual so far - 0
    Goal 3: Get a lodger
Goal 4: Once goal 1 & 3 complete add 1K to the EF
Goal 5: Once goal 4 complete save for my own car as I do need one.

Well, I'm off to a flying start: No spend day for me today.  This is huge as I'm working part time (as of yesterday!), so I'm really having to be even more careful with my spending.

I would say yes, as it's a physical necessity to remain healthy & sane long term when travelling, unlike a one time new dress to look/feel good!  :D  <3

    Declaring a NSD 2/20 Wednesday  :)
I just have to laugh at the first emoji: Whilst I think it's a white flag being waved my humour goes for a piece of white underware!  Obviously, we are all off to a flying start  :D
Wishing everyone a Wonderful NSD Wednesday  <3

Thank you for including me for another month. I am going to be so much better at updating this month.

Yes 14 No Spending Days. Except for medical stuff and direct debits, I won't count those as spending. I do count buying food (a big reason for doing this is to stop me buying sandwiches when I'm at work) but I will be keeping two totals this month because I'm curious about how often I buy food.

But on the 1st I didn't buy anything. So 1 NSD and 1 NSonfoodD too. 🥳
