This person is saying economy 10 is still available, but not for my meter !

I’ve had to send a photo of my new meter to prove I’ve got it !

so … I’ve opened up another complaint ,!

they are now going to try and apply economy 10 to this meter now they have my photo of new meter !  …

I really don’t know what they are doing , I don’t think they do either , communication is difficult as well

I now have a complaint number for this ….

OFGEM from that MPs letter have yet again it seems clearly failed in protecting those on old rts type tariffs for all electric homes.

Often those paying by far the highest energy bills to heat their homes.

Consultations in Jan this year one assumes, thats 10 months after the previous target date for RTS shutdown last year.

Speaks volumes about their lack of forethought for the minority of off gas grid homes for whom e7just wont cut it.

Particularly those North of the Midlands.

There's a reason why many homes in north have far more than 7 hours off peak.

Perhaps all affected should write a complaint to that manager or the equicpvalent at their firms and to their mps re Ofgem failing to protect them.

Might not change anything.  But you never know.

[I seem to remember one users text sugesting Ofgem actually giving permission to stop supporting legacy tariffs on July 1st from one post here - at least before this phased approach -but couldnt find by search.]

    Also
Wonder where the MP got the 2026 roll out end date from ?

My first thought was Possibly just a late July cap update letter.

But 59.44 the old sc for Northern here, not the new 56p rate

    https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/information-consumers/energy-advice-households/get-energy-price-cap-standing-charges-and-unit-rates-region

So maybe thats deliberately restating the old rates because they are defacto guaranteeing them to 29th July if switching away as per your other letter.

There seems little doubt that edf staff are clearly struggling to give clear guidance on e10 and no doubt others.

I’m pretty savvy , but all this has got me baffled …

anyone who struggles with these things are going to be overwhelmed

I couldn’t believe it when she asked me to send a photo of my meter … !!!!

and to still have two mpans , when I was told the commissioning was all done ages ago and the other one was voided

if I am on the “new E10 “ prices are similar to what I had

I am now going to have to check my meter to make sure the rates are correctly registered on the right peak / off peak for a few days !!

It never ends does it …

Well Eon Next are just as bad. Every 3 months or so they keep re-adding my old mechanical meter that was removed by EDF in 2021, 2 years prior to joining them. I keep emailing a complaint every time it appears and they credit me £30 after removing it from my account, each time assuring me it won't appear again.
