So that would mean I might miss the low peak hour as it’s not always at the same time?

If your talking afternoon boost although they say then can from the threads here it has been pretty constant 3-4pm GMT+ meter offset - so when talked about timings in Rosie1001 thread it became 4:09 or rather 5:09 - for her to hear the click off.

And I seem to remember a comment that one user had been told verbally by CS - Octopus would warn them of any change in advance on the afternoon slot.  But thats not in the FAQ on a quick scan - or the T&Cs

At a push 2.14.11.3 might be an issue as could be interpreted to support the lilac-dawn concern they need all storage heating.

[And perhaps not entirely relevent here - but 2.4.10 - having talked about the advance - the 7 hours MAX fair use is now beginning to raise questions in my head - can you really request more than 6 hours ? but we know they can and have by advancing - does that mean if they advance they really shouldn't be maintaining the full 6 hours overnight and the 1 hr boost ?) - or just that they can and maybe even therefore - have charged more for the excess - havent seen anyone complain about that though in other threads]

But I'd be tempted to ask regardless - as it doesn't say all SH - but then it doesnt say only those on ALCS control.

You don't have to switch to them on e7 to ask questions when your only reason to switch is for snug.  You do have to join them on e7 before actually they test meter connection and control and then switch if able.

You might also want to scan the Snug threads here - and elsewhere - as a few users with certain meters have had issues - like iirc @vienna28 (I'd have to search back to see his meter model) - and arguably Rosie1001 possibly as seem to be struggling at least in first few days  with afternoon slot on her EDMI ES12-B.

PS Do we need to / should we - say get forum operators to split the recent "lilac dawn specific" posts say starting on the 3rd  - including my replies and others - out of this thread - to a separate Snug thread - and leave this one for Rosie1001's personal protracted journey through the woeful EDF ?

Joanne (may I call you that? 😎) I thought you were having 4 days off, with a drink and just chilling. Having said that your threads are most enlightening for others in similar situations and you are getting to be a legend for the times your threads are linked to when others try to help with new problems.
    Enjoy the weekend.

That's the hour I meant. Even if I set the timers for exactly when they say for the overnight low hours, the afternoon hour might get lost as I don't want to have to keep adjusting heaters, I do actually like my split times that I have atm as I get 2 low hours starting at 10:30pm. I will look at it again though - but I need to know if there are exit fees as I don't want to sign up for E7 then find out my meter won't work for them for snug.
