Yep as @QrizB said they have retired it, but during the summer you will have a smaller daily rate. You have got time to look for options going forward. E7, cosy or snug fro octopus and then other suppliers.

Just when you scored the winner they moved the goalposts.

Do you shift other appliances to the E10 rates?

EDIT it’s a shane you can’t charge them an early exit fee🥴

Cosy doesnt guarantee the ALCS functionality though - neither I guess would other challenger TOU tarifss - that @Rosie1001 and 100,000s of others do still rely on - and of the new tariffs - only Snug does - and that isnt 100% reliable for all eho have manged to get on to it.

Ovo won’t even quote me and octopus said I need to be a customer before even looking at snug

What Octopus is telling you is that you will need to be on a smart meter that can switch on your heating circuit and moved to them before they can put you onto the Snug tariff, they can't just move you straight to Snug as they have to make sure the smart meter is working so they can put you on a smart tariff like snug.

You might be looking at E7 or SR then at EDF

You could switch to Octopus on their E7 tariff - and then ask about Snug.

But make sure you check when they update the do both tariff and ALCS timings.

What do they deem chilly ??

    I will try and stay on Ec0 10 if I can ,

I need my afternoon boost as heater in main room will definitely been cold by tea time without it

the other heater is newer and will be ok I think , less heat loss with that one

My meter is switching my heaters on at peak times

In fact ALL my electric switches over on the off peak timings not just the heaters

Will this be the same if I go with octopus??

Yes on rates - if you go Economy 7 - and then snug.

But not all the new fancy TOU tariffs support the ALCS switching of the NSH and HW - so the power only active at those rates.   You could switch to one whos rates you like and also make those restricted feeds use live but feed heatnig via / fit external timer switches - at a cost.

You are sadly not the first EDF customer to recieve the E10 termination notice - to post here.

As other post - are they offering anything other than SR - like economy 7 - with suitable ALCS.

You will notice the very important

"If we dont here from you"

    - in the letter - SR may not be the only option - its just the backstop option if you  do nothing (*).

But my guess would be E7 only (they used do others like EDF2020 - but that had no boost mid week - just 10 hrs overnight and cheap rates all weekend iirc ) - and you now what that means for your afternoon boost.

But at EDF - their E7 peak rate was lower than E10 peak - so you might buy a little bit on plug ins against your peak rate use currently - but suspect not enough.

    Note *
I went through a tariff simplification exercise at EOn around a decade ago - which is when I lost RTS - long before current radio signal switch off - and ended up on more expensive E10 - again back then if didn't agree to E10 - the backstop was single rate meter and no ALCS functionality.  Warning about wiring mods at homeowners costs.
I have been expecting to lose E10 at next meter upgrade for a while now. (As posted in other threads a meter swap and Snug probably my next option - short of spending £100s on timers or £1000s on new heaters).

    Edit 2

You might of course get away with just one HHR or cheaper modern lot 20 heater.  As on your old tariff iirc you only got 7 hrs anyway - and turned the input down on e10.  IIRC before move @EssexHebridian had an old Creda in a hallway that thought was better than some others at lasting - their current TSRE (programmable, thermostat regulated etc) nearly £300 cheaper than a new Dimplex Q RF150 HHR at the top end.

    Thank you

I have emailed them , Let’s see what they say ,  as long as I get the boost , even a hour would suit me,

ovo are saying they do not have eco10 available , only for existing customers…

snug , may be a option ..but it says boost only when they deem it’s cold !  …that’s not good ..everyone is different it comes to their comfort ..I’m always cold , I’m not a typical Geordie lass lol ..I wear a coat in winter hahahaha

worst case scenario, I use my oil filled radiator on the coldest days to top up the room ..( on peak rate I know)  …

I only got the letter on Friday …it changes on Monday so I will be complaining about that !

Looking at the letter - I'd email the address - and saying you tried but couldnt get through

Specifically pointing out the lack of notice

And asking for options by return email

And say you will try to get through again - but you have tried already - and have no confidence in being able to do before the 1st

Frankly 4 days - including a weekend -  is truly pathetic customer notice.

Its almost like they want you to leave to be honest.

It a disgrace , especially for older customers who are not savvy …

I will be putting in another complaint … and I might even take it to local MP … energy companies are the bane of my life , no one should be worried about heating their homes in this day and age !

Might be just easier to switch to E7 and then move to Octopus and go on Snug. I don't think anyone on E7 will do better price-wise than on Snug (barring Utility Warehouse). Plus you get the afternoon 1 hour boost. That's my plan when my Eon Next 10p E7 night rate ends in late November.

    Try not to panic.

Remember that despite the 4 days to the 1st - you still have a few weeks to switch away - they will as the letter bill you on the old E10 deal rates until that end of 29th July notice to hear from any new supplier - as long as your prepared to leave - you have current rates and I hope current times - to up to then (they are maintaining two rate registerr billing - just the same p/kWh rates).

Mabye you were missed of the original lists - given a recent convert to EDF E10 - but I suspect E10 will not be the only legacy tariff they scrap.  Given Ofgem issued defacto permission - as part of the revised RTS 30th June date - to abondon support for others after date (despite that now being phased).
