@flamingo22 it's in the debt free challenges and ever so slightly unloved.
I think it's a lovely and pain free challenge.0 -
Not much to update on the debt front, still plodding, all debts paid this month and I've just realised I'm paying nearly £650 a month in interest 🤮 trying not to let it get me down but it's depressing.
Anyway cashed out £15 from the surveys in the last week, made £2.80 on Vinted whoo hoo, just need to post the two items, tbh though I'm struggling with the motivation to get to the lockers for £2.80 🤣🤣
Little one had his christening and birthday, he was ill for both and so miserable 😢 on his third lot of antibiotics in 4 weeks 🙄 work busy as anything but it's keeping me active and my mind away from the debt, which is good.I'm looking forward to January then I can hopefully say that 'I'll be debt free next year' can't come soon enough.3 -
The plodding months are tough and not very exciting but you're being consistent and going in the right direction so don't lose heart. When you get to the end (and I really believe you will) the plodding months will be all worth it as they all add up.
Hope you had a nice time at the christening and birthday celebrations despite the illness and LO perks up soon.

Are you overpaying any of the debts?
When I started our debt journey, we were paying interest on all of the debt and were in persistent debt. I started overpaying just by a couple of ££'s. Eventually we started being offered balance transfers. They weren't great as the transfer fees were usually about 5% and the term was short, about a year but they started to make the difference as I was actually paying off the debt and not interest.
Keep going. You'll be debt free before you know it.0 -
Hi Flamingo,
Just whizzed through your diary. I too have a DD just gone into year 11, also struggling with maths, and also promised her a fancy trip when she finished standard education this year. I also started here with a similar amount of debt (c.£48k) and a hopeful DFD of 2027.
You are doing so well. It's such a good thing to be using this as a therapy diary as you are, getting the thoughts out helps with the guilt and stops you catastrophising.
We will get there
