What a miserable day it is today (weather wise) fancied a chill out in the garden day, no chance of that, feels like winter is coming (my husband hates it when I say that). All bills are accounted for and I have a little left over to cover any unaccounted expenses. Since I've been back from our week away, the debt anxiety is hitting me pretty hard, and the fact that I'm back at work on Monday is contributing to my mood, so I need to keep myself busy somehow between the kids, work, housework and budget planning. And I know it's a good idea to regularly check your finances, bank account etc but everytime I'm doing this I end up rearranging my order of debts 🙄. I need to do the budget, overpay on my debt of the month and forget about it til the following payday, any tips on how to do this? Although once I am back at work, I'll have very little time to 'fixate' on my debts as that is what I am doing at the moment and it's not healthy.I have always been inpatient and I like things to happen quickly, sadly in this case that is not going to happen and it's something that I'll have to learn to navigate. On the flip side, Christmas should be paid for, I've been putting money away every month and this should cover the costs and also the vouchers that I've received from surveys, insurance etc.So for the next hour I'm going to put all of the washing away 🙄, make tea and ask the older two if they fancy a film night, they used to love these with me, sadly not so much anymore 😢 tomorrow I'm batch cooking meals for the week and for my lunches at work, I'll be working 4 days 8-6 and dreading coming home making tea on the days my husband is at work, I also need to find a maths tutor for my daughter, GCSEs next year and her predicted grade isn't even a pass at present.Happy Saturday 🙂3

First week at work is not going too bad amd I've had three NSD's, although getting a bit sick of carrot and chilli soup so going to have to tho k of something new for next week.Received £7 from a Vinted sale today and withdrew £5 from the surveys. Paid it to my Abound loan, the total for this now stand at £2993.38. Paid £1259.33 off this since starting my diary, roll on the remaining amount being paid off.I'm solely focusing on one debt at a time now (still obviously paying the others) but it was getting too overwhelming looking at the huge debt amount, finding it helping so far.3

I thought I would have a settling in period when I returned to work, well that certainly hasn't happened today, neither tomorrow or next week 🥴
So I spent £1.60 on some cheese on toast this morning at the hospital (anybody who has ever had this from the hospital will know it's the best ever) and I knew that I wouldn't have enough time to go back to the office for my soup amd I've just spent £8.50 on a bundle of clothes for my son for nursery (from Vinted) forgot how messy these little people got. Not in the budget but can stretch to it.

Hi 👋
Just found your diary and read through. You are doing so well 👏
It can become an obsession looking at the figures and playing with them so I think you're doing the right thing by concentrating on one interest bearing one.
I had a lot of LBM's before it really hit and I actually started tackling the debt.
I'm also a Monzo cheerleader. Once I really started budgeting, I set up pots in Monzo. I now have quite a few and it means if we need a new tyre, petrol, birthdays, Christmas even new passports; it's accounted for. I haven't done the banking switch, too scared and lazy.
One little thing I do daily is "tilly tidy". At the end of every day, I log into my bank account and round it down to zero. I transfer it to my savings account. Sometimes it can be a little as 2p but I average about £25 a month doing this.
I also have a daughter who's just gone into year 11 and probably needs help with her maths. I've asked about prom but she said she's not sure she wants to go. We've also had a lovely week in Wales for holiday this year.
I've subscribed to your diary. Keep up the good work.

ive completed two switches up to now, just waiting on the second pay out. Honestly it's so easy, I opened up a chase account and opened up three accounts within chase, transferred two direct debits and then switched from my chase account. I felt scared doing it from my normal account but it's so easy with the chase one.
Aww I absolutely love Wales, hope you had the weather for it.I've subscribed to your diary too, you're doing fab 😊1 -
Bought my first Christmas present today (used my vouchers so no money spent) and I've had a couple of NSD's over the weekend due to me and my baby being ill all weekend, that'll teach us going back to work and starting nursery and bringing the bugs home 😞 He has an ear infection, poor little thing so neither of us are getting much sleep (not that we got much before he was ill, the longest he's ever slept for is 6 hours overnight and that only happened the once).
Hope work is kinder to me tomorrow, I think if I didn't have this debt hanging over me, I'd be able to look for a different job, one not so fast paced, I'd obviously have to take a pay cut but I'd be okay with that, I hate bringing the stress home and not being able to cut off.Money wise, sold another Vinted item, that's 3 in the last week and I haven't uploaded for ages so not too sure how this is happening but I'm not complaining. I've slowed down with these surveys at the minute, I've just no motivation and they are so time consuming. Waiting funds for my second switch £175 and that'll be going to my Abound loan, shouid be able to finish paying this at least a month earlier at this rate. And I've not been paid right again 🙄 so that money will also be going to the loan. This month is a quiet one, thankfully and my little one is getting christened in October, just a small gathering at the church and then a little buffet at my parents house, this also coincides with his 1st birthday so two celebrations in one, can't believe he's nearly one 😭.3 -
I uploaded 5 things last week which 3 sold pretty much straight away but I’ve also sold about 5 things that had been listed for ages so it must bump everything up ?Sealed pot challenge 822
