I had a reply from the Work Coach about the Work Plan being contradictory, he said:
you are correct, I thought I had put it under voluntary activities. My mistake. I have noted this on the system and will change this at our next meeting if that is ok with you. There will be no implications
I hope this is enough, I don't want to push the issue if he knows it's his own to-do. I wonder what he means by "implications", however?

I'm guessing that by "there will be no implications" that he means there will be no comeback if you can't fulfill your agreed work commitments. It's a badly worded reply, it should have said something along the lines of "there won't be any problem and I will change the wording at the next meeting". Quite why he couldn't have changed the wording now is another matter. He should have but it's nothing to worry about. If you are worried, you could ask your Work Coach to clarify his meaning but you definitely don't need to worry about anything.

I've received my first UC payment but it is only the Standard Allowance and my own housing amount.

They said I was on LCW, transferred over from ESA. So why aren't I getting that element?

ESA are a little behind in sending the LCW information to UC.

As long as you had LCW on ESA before April 2017, you should receive the LCW element amount.

No harm in sending a journal message relating to payments just advising that the LCW element is missing.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Agreed re sending a Journal message.

You'll know when this has been fully processed as a letter will be added to your Journal, stating the amount owed due to underpayment. The money will then be paid within a few working days.

As above raise the fact with a message about payments.. should get amended statement and additional money paid fairly quickly I would hope.

Benefits are supposed to be safety net only.

Governments of all parties have always required as many people as possible to be in paid employment, so they are paying income tax and national insurance.

There is plenty of help available for those who want to make progress towards paid employment. The current difficulty is that there are not very many jobs available and not many employers who are willing to employ people with disabilities.

I’m sorry to hear of your problems.

I worked in the NHS some years ago and they were quite good at employing people with various disabilities.  There’s lots of different jobs available, it’s not all Drs and nurses 😊.

In later years I worked for a mental health charity.  The unpaid voluntary work is mainly in the shops but there are a number of jobs in the actual organisation.  We had a lot of secretarial/admin jobs.

I also worked for the NHS.Which had a policy to employ people who had disabilities also my local council used to have the gardeners and litter picking specifically aimed at disabled people. But as of today, privatization and contract tenders put   a lot of those positions into the hands of agency policies very anti disabled. So even charity shops today basically abuse anyone volunteering and expect and treat them to work as regular staff. Or stand outside in all conditions shaking a bucket and who has change available now.

I got this reply from Payments:

The details that ESA provided UC as part of the migration, shows that you would be in the Limited capability for work (LCW).

This type of group on UC does not qualify for any additional monies. Only those placed in the Limited capability for work and work-related activity element (LCWRA), are awarded an additional amount on UC.

You have been placed in the Limited capability for work (LCW) group, and this is showing on your records. but it would not as advised provide any additional monies
