Universal Credit Managed Migration - I'm on the sick but they want me to work

AMJF said:So I entered the "work coach" data, as much as I knew, and submitted it, and then added my CV which is quite old, and it all seems done now.
There is a part in the website called "Work Plan" which says I won't have to do any jobsearches or preparation for work, which I think means I'm on LCWRA.
There is another thing now: It seems my Standard Allowance and Housing Element is established, I will get my first payment on the 18th of July, and I will find out what that is on the 14th of July, but if I have to tell Cardiff council about Council Tax Reduction, when do I do it?

Agreed, if you have a Work Plan then you will be LCW (no 'RA').The 'RA' is Work Related Activites which you still have to do, and you say that you have just done some WRA with the CV etc.As far as the Council Tax, I wouldn't rush on that one.As you appear to have migrated from Housing Benefit as well as ESA then the teams at the council that deal with HB and CT/CTR will already know that.
Give them a chance to see what UC pays you (UC will tell them) and do the calculation of what CTR you will now be entitled to. They will then send you a letter about it.
If you didn't pay any CT before then you may find that you have to pay a few quid now that you have moved to UC - we can't say if you will or not because each council has its own rules on that.

I have just had an appointment made for me for a "commitments review" by phone call for Monday at 2pm, which is important, as I'm guessing it's for the claimant commitment.
So do I clarify that I was on ESA WRAG and then migrated to LCW, and that the work I was referring to doing was unpaid volunteer work at a charity shop? I'm sure I ought to mention my health problems too, but I don't know if the work coach is going to just find me "fit for work" anyway, which I know I'm not for a real job. Maybe I should ask for a WCA then?

Have you considered putting yourself forward for connect to work? Its run by local authorities and its abut finding the right job with the right support for you, its voluntary and there are no issues if you start something and it doesn't work out. No personal experience of it but maybe easier to do than having a work coach tell you what to do or not to do.

I asked on the journal yesterday, and I am in the LCW group, which is all part of the managed migration. They confirmed it to me at the JCP, and told me I wouldn't have to come in again.0

Surprise, surprise, my commitments review has been rescheduled to a couple of weeks later. Why am I not surprised, considering the PIP and UC U-turn news today?
That probably means I won't get the health component of UC LCW now. Or is that just my paranoia speaking?

You are migrating from ESA WRAG so are entitled to UC LCW automatically.3

^ what that says. You have LCW, they can't just take it away because you move to UC.That is not going to happen.1

So on Managed Migration, how many weeks of housing element will I lose? The landlord informed me that he is no longer receiving the Council's Housing Benefit, as the claim ended 25th June. If the UC is paid in arrears, then will he get the housing fully, but later on? I never understood arrears.
Also, I was hoping to resist getting an Advance Payment, if I even could. I don't think I need one, but I don't know if it would put me fully paid up on the rent and if it would come before the first regular UC payment due the 18th July.
And if I did get an AP, it might leave me short if I don't get the LCW element of my claim.
So many questions.
