That all sounds rather challenging Rachmac. Hope there is no serious damage.

It's a regular occurrence, it's pretty much constantly under water in winter, but I really didn't expect in August so soon after clearing them. The ducks are happy at least!
I am trying to turn my irritation into action. Currently on the phone trying to get through to the bank to increase my loan payments. Isn't it strange how I can do pretty much everything else through the chat except the thing that will save me interest.

@rachmac3 - I agree it's fascinating how so many spending money options are easy or even automated.  Saving/not spending is not easy to achieve. I just navigated through screen after screen in order to cancel my dad's insurance auto renewal.  Still it's done now and I overcame my initial "just let it auto renew" instinct.

now reading up on technical stuff to support an elderly relative who has gone into a care home.  They are blissfully happy there which is the main thing.  The paperwork has proven to be daunting and overwhelming for their partner so I'm happy to offer some support where I can.

Rang the AA and got the breakdown policy extended to cover a commercial vehicle for Mr KK’s van. That cost us a further £75 but that’s still only £214 in total compared to the £528 they wanted to charge Mr KK to renew existing cover!

I kept expecting them to refuse the policy, but they didn’t … 🤷‍♀️
