Finally! Can report some OATing 😊
- Water jug cleaned, renewed and next date for doing it again recorded on the calendar 😊
- Cleaned the screen of my iPad - I have been meaning to do that for aaaages! 😉
- Did the week’s money transactions and set up a new month. Deliberately left myself short on some categories where I have been overspending lately … <ahem>

I've painted the landing, and Mr C has removed a load of wire fencing that we're replacing with (much taller) hurdles. Both projects likely to feature here for a while until they're done - hopefully not too long!4

I finally cleaned my computer screen after weeks of wondering what on earth got spilled on it.
I also got round to ordering a skip for the waste from the bathroom work, so another short burst of identifying things that can't be rehomed or recycled is essential. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Made my list of things that are filling me with dread every time I see them:
Dealing with Octopus complaint. Have sent an email asking what's happening
Deciding whether to get my hair cut. Researched and no guarantee of getting more selling it than it'll cost to cut so decision made and I don't have to do anything, my favourite result
Selling an item that involves a tube journey. Have asked Mr PIP to deal with this as money will be for the flat pot
Return a birthday gift that wasn't the exact right thing. Will see if I have energy to walk to shop tomorrow and will adopt a positive attitude that if it turns out to be more complicated at least I will have done the initial first stage of gaining knowledge
Catch up on steps. Progressing return of gift will help with this!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Octopus refund requested (I don't pay them anything, but they don't have a mechanism for automatically paying me for my solar generation. I've had two full refunds recently, but now I'm 'on payment holiday', I'm leaving a small float in there. I don't know how my winter bills will work out with the new panels and don't think a zero balance is a good idea.
New bedding washed and on the line, but I think it'll need a second wash to get rid of the 'new' smell.
Cats are being fed a supplement to stop the dog eating their poo (cats are poor digesters, so their poo is apparently protein-rich and delicious to dogs...). Unbelievably they are both happily eating it, so I'm hoping that after a month or so it'll break the habit.
Dog still needs to be kept quiet, which is a challenge given the cats think he should be outside playing with them.5 -
My water is off, which is quite a regular occurrence, so that has stopped me doing the chores I intended (clean the coops and split the run temporarily so I can get the new chickens out of my bathroom). I have emptied and cleaned the patio table though (I'm hoping as it's close to the house the wifi will be strong enough to work from there in the afternoons), and I have started shovelling the winter mud off the patio. That's gonna be a few days work as it's so tiring but I have emptied 3 buckets worth so far. Can I get an extra point for doing it in the drizzle?
Ooo I also volunteered for Parkrun this morning which I've been intending to get back to for about a year.Debts 04/01/25 01/10/25

Yesterday I cleared the dining table so we could host extended family members for dinner.
Today I have finally started tackling the mountain of white washing that is needing treating to bring it back to white - I'm using knowledge gained from reading my Nancy B books.
Me and OH visited a local museum today, I've been meaning to visit for 15+ years. It was also the first time in a very long time we have had a trip out together without the (nearly adult) children, this is mainly due to the OH's health 😢 So it was good to be able to have a few hours out together, we both enjoyed the museum and found it very interesting.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
