I'm exhausted just reading your posts @greenbee, you certainly put me and my printing a letter to shame 😁

This thread is Summertime so we could keep this one going for July and August?

I stayed up a little too late so I've also stayed in bed a little too late but I will be doing another tip run (completely forgot they were open on Sundays in summer). That's my main OAT for today.
I think I'll also do the final totals and spreadsheets for my disastrous financial month and decide what I need to do with my pay tomorrow.

I'm exhausted myself :)  I really should be doing things like sorting out my pensions, but the garden seems to be taking over everything!

Definitely keep the same thread for the rest of summer.

I finished mulching the hedge as the bees appeared to have gone, but I left the corner they were in and I think they might still be there after all. I'll move compost from the other bin into this one at some point so they can be undisturbed for a bit longer.

Lunch included the last of the peas (plants have been pulled up to go in the compost) and courgette - along with tomato, garlic, chickpeas, and basil.

Blue peas in IP - it's giving me a low pressure sensor error, so I'm trying again with high pressure (I've never used low pressure before, so it may well have been like that since I got it). Clearly I'm going to have to try to find the warranty paperwork at some point and get it dealt with.

While I see whether that works, I'd better go and turn off the hose to the IBCs as they're almost full :)

Decluttered two drawers in my bedroom of various ‘stuff’ some of which will head off to CS at a some point and amalgamated various jewellery boxes to save space. There are some other bits of jewellery that need cleaning or repair but that can wait a while.

Finally opened a reasonable high interest saver for £10K and transferred the £10K.

Summer doesn't officially end until the 21st of September. May have to "think summer" by the end of it, rather than enjoying summer weather, but it is still summertime.

    Am avoiding work so...
    • Dog walked early to avoid heat (he thinks he should get another walk at normal time, but tough)
    • Irrigation on one border and veg plot while I was out for a walk. Not a huge amount but it all helps.
    • Back to bed to read for a bit, then washed and dressed (nice to do this... sometimes I get to about 5pm and realise I'm still unwashed in my dog-walking outfit!)
    • Animals fed, greenhouse opened, coffee made
    • Black beans, aduki beans, flamingo peas soaking (not convinced that flamigo peas or aduki beans need it, but information varies)
    • Green lentils in IP on slow cook for 3 hours
    • New kingsize fitted sheets and pillowcases ordered to replace the ancient rotten ones (which will be used as dust sheets/rags as appropriate
    • New summer PJs ordered (one pair of PJ bottoms missing that I don't remember turning into rags, bits of others in with rags, so no confusion where they went)
    • Pulses ordered on offer
    • Today's vet appointment cancelled as it was made last monday and we've been three times since then and have an appointment on Tuesday
    • Stinky liberated from PJs as it is FAR too hot. Although he's made a nest in his crate, so who knows?!
    • Security cameras brought in - one set of batteries changed and camera put up straight away (I have two spare sets of batteries for the 4 that take them), three taken down, two sets of batteries charging; one rechargeable camera charging. Need to get the ladder out to deal with the one that's offline and consider getting it a solar panel.
    • Dog PJs in WM on hygiene wash with cleaning stuff (checked labels, they say 60/90C, so hopefully the cleaning stuff won't all be dyed blue!)
    • Geranium and forsythia hacked back to fill last green waste bin
I wonder what else I can do to avoid work?
    • Sort out ISAs
    • Sort out pensions
    • Research and buy cotton cellular blanket
    • Chase electrician
    • Chase builder
    • Deep clean cat feeders
Work is starting to look quite an attractive option!

Well after the weekend not quite going as planned. My OATS for today are finally finishing my new planner....already sat at the table with it, and doing some financial admin, and need to order a couple of things from the Big River site...been saying I would do that for about 4 days.  As its too hot for housework or gardening, maybe I'll actually get all of these things done today.

I'm old school @weenancyinAmerica 😁 Summer for me is June, July, August then start of Autumn is September for three months. Which is why I always end up boiling hot in cardigans in September and freezing cold in cardigans in November 😂

Went to the dental hygienist today, which I always disproportionately feel anxious about, so a nice sense of achievement to have got it done and know all is okay

Mr KK has OAT’d excellently today and replaced the scruffy yellow plastic bag that was on the outside of the vent behind the wood stove (and so very visible in the courtyard that I am aiming to have as a pretty space) with a neat, clean mesh cover 😊👏

I managed my third tip run in a row. I have become quite the expert at getting there and not queuing long, and not getting shouted at for not separating things well enough. I have achieved tip greatness. I didn't quite get everything done in the garden in my three days, but it's enough to keep me motivated to keep chipping away at it. The rest of the bits of rubbish can be bagged up and I'll pay someone to collect it when I have a few. There are localish people who advertise on facebook when they are in the area for big rubbish removals and they'll take little bits for about £2 a bag.
I still need to walk the dogs, water the garden (although I might do that in the morning coz slugs) and do some general house tidying. I also need to submit that uni thing I've been putting off for about 10days.
As I've had my big end of the month push I will just post here when I've done the occasional bit for the next few weeks but read and support you all throughout. Must recover and repair now for a bit. Doing all that manual labour on my own really takes its toll (insert here general moan about people saying they will help but not actually helping and sometimes even creating more work instead of less).
One of the months soon my OATs will be finishing off the rooms I've started but then given up on  :D
